I no doubt that people can pull it off and its easy to do. Its still seems a lot more prone to errors and problems.

I bought Clonex solution when it comes I will us it. Got fingers crossed I'm doing 4/1 timer now maybe will get lucky

Success with the Clone King and every other are solely water temp depended.
If you can't keep it below 70 either forget it or plan on running high concentrations of Clear Res or similar :peace:

Honestly can be done in a glass of decent water in an east facing window sill. Just poke a hole in a styrofoam packing piece that is the old bowl or saucer shape. Insert cutting through the concave side. Place in window. How my grandmother taught me. Easy or difficult as you choose.

I've got 3 CloneKings, and they worked great when I first got them. I had 99% success rate. After a couple of uses, I can't get shit to root in them. the stems just rot. I didn't even try that hard when I first got them, and they worked great. Thinking of going to a Rapid Rooter with a dome. Does anyone have any recommendations on a kit? Getting tired of fucking with these clogged jets, broken jets, cleaning the damn pumps, getting squirted in the face to see if the jets are working, etc. Looking for a 100 spot, or 2 50's, or something close.
I bought a cloner unit to "make things easier" for myself. Instead I went from 99% in peat pucks, to 0%.
And I wouldn't even sterilize or shit in peat pucks
I sometimes use my Leatherman knife, unsanitized, "that looks like a good set of branches" Always had near perfect success.

I got this cloner, and I went straight sterile, gloves and razors and alcohol wipes and I couldn't get a clone to root for a month and a half and the cloner sits on the shelf now. 0% success rate. Not a single clone rooted.

I went back to a dome, but I've started using Rapid Rooters. 100% all the time, every time. Cut, dip, plant, mist and leave 'em.

That cloner did nothing but piss me off by delaying everything and throwing off the nice rotation I had with all my tents.

Good luck man, it's so damn frustrating

Yeah... exactly my experience. I can’t figure it out. Spray pattern is the same, pressure from the pumps, same environment, cleaned and scrubbed everything really good, new jets, fresh pucks, change the water out , ...nothing. Totally wasted a month of my time. We have a trip planned to Alaska in late June, and this may fuck my whole plan of wrapping up a crop before we leave. May just have to flip early. Plus, the CKings are just a pain in the ass. I’m tired of getting everything wet checking for roots, breaking or clogging jets, pumps coming loose at the bottom of the tub,...I’m just ready for something with no moving parts.

I remember telling you about the rapid rooter setup when you were going to start cloning, don't know why you were attracted to the clone king. I agree with no moving parts, no active stuff to go wrong. The KISS rule definitely applies here.

Got the first unit it and plugged with Orange Kush Cake clones, (every other hole). I ditched the heat mat, as it was reaching 90 degrees in there. I wrapped the bottom of the rack with a set of T5’s, and it brought the temps in the dome down to 80. Makes a nice large warming surface.
When the Rapid Rooters get here tomorrow, I’ll fill them up and see what happens.

I only use the heat mat as I'm cloning on the kitchen counter under 18" LED's/\. LOL. Wise move.

It's pretty cool how wrapping the bottom of the rack with a couple of T5's under there can warm up that whole second shelf. Looking forward to how this turns out when the Rapid Rooters get here tomorrow, and I get it loaded up. This is a 5ft wide x 2 ft deep rack system, so you can put alot of clones in there! If you wanted too, you could prob get 3 shelves going if you had enough T5's .... that's be a shit ton of clones tho... prob 200 per shelf. So, you could potentially make 600 in a full rack if you had that many mothers to take from.

i just put em in solo cups of water, changing water every day. They don’t wilt or get funny but take a few weeks to get roots. I get over 90% success in temps ranging from low 70s to mid 80s
