Billie Eilish made a point not to oversexualize herself during her peak. A lot of young women looked up to her for this exact reason. Whether or not if she's a good singer or if she's " worthy " of being labeled a leader, that's who the kids got. She reaches millions of fans worldwide, the majority probably not knowing who Jon Stewart is.

you have a point, i keep forgetting that you have to appeal to your target audience, so kids want to hear another kid, even though neither of them actually have more than moments of valuable life experience...
is she? i never really looked into celebrity life much, the most part i know the majority of celebs dont actually use social media because they are bombarded with hate mail and people constantly attacking them.

A lot of artists took advantage of social media during the covid lockdowns. Some of them personally reached their fans via the messages and interactions online. Helped a ton with record sales and when they could bust it out at live venues finally. It's pretty simple man. If you look for good, you'll find it. Same goes for any other vice you might have. Some folks just want to surround themselves with all the vile shit and hate that exists in our short time here on this planet. Others will use it for more positive aspects and personal development.
