I just wanted to share some pics with all you folks out there. Please feel fee to make comments, or ask questions. It is my observation that the Big Island is "no ka oi", for growing God's gift to mankind! I have grown on three different islands over 34 some odd years. My observation comes from that, and that alone. Plus let's not forget it is my view only too. But let me also state, I have never been afford the luxury to grow on Molokai, Lanai, or Kauai either.
Sure it's not easy growing here in Puna because we have very little top soil with six to 800 yr. old laval right beneath it! But I've been growing in grow bags for close to 30 years so that's not an issue for me. The Big Island offers still affordable fee simple land! It's huge, and most importantly, it's very progressive in it's thinking. It offers the perfect living environment for a ganja warrior/farmer. Enough with the talking!
I'll try to post pics daily. It's currently raining in Puna. When it stops, I will take a few pics of the next to last wave of short season plants. Some of these four footers have cola's that would make John Holmes green with envy!
Places I have grown over the years:
A. Maui
1. Honokwai Valley
2. Kaanapali cane field next to old air strip
3. Ulupalakua Ranch
4. Makawao
5. Iao Valley
B. Oahu
1. North Shore(anywhere between Pupukea Heights & Comsat Rd.)
2. Mokuleia (next to water tower)
3 .Tantalus off of Roundtop Dr.
4. Manoa Valley( my front yard)
C. Big Island
1. Puna currently living and growing here. Sorry no locations at this time!)
