Anyone wish we had another Clinton?

Not to sit here and type much, but does anyone agree, that this country was a much easier place to live under his presidency? I mean, absolute Zero national deficit? Was just having a discussion in my social problems class, and I had to reflect on the thriving economy during those 8 years. Thanks to Bush, we said goodbye to that a while ago, and now Obama has us on a trail of bail-outs, the government can only fund for so long, that of course they need improved techniques to collect the money, like that delicious cash-for-clunkers! Hey, worried about money problems? Taking great loss during this recession? Well we got just the thing for u! Turn in a running car, we will give u a new car, andwe will throw in a bit more personal debt! It's ok, really, because when u buy that car brand new, without trading something that's completely paid off already, u will only be able to negotiate a few grand off sticker price! Why do that when we can take off an additional $1,000?? And for that $1,000 that u save u get to owe us for another 3-5 years!! WHAT COULD BE BETTER??

Seriously? I mean is it possible to find someone who knows how to get us out of debt, without, uh.. Putting us in more debt? For some reason that seems to not make mch sense to me... Where's clinton at??

Clinton may have eliminated the deficit, but all he really did was move the deficit to the DEBT (which are two entirely different things). It was a nice illusion, and he did cut a lot of wasteful spending in the process, but it was just that - an illusion.

At this point, there is no way to avoid going into more debt. We have NO money to spend, literally. Our obligations far outweigh what we actually collect in tax revenue, and raising taxes basically amounts to political death these days (because people don't want to believe that THEY should be funding these government programs and endeavors that in reality, benefit THEM and not the government) and is therefore a subject that nobody wants to discuss, at least not in public.

my point was i wasnt really that involved in politics....well ever

Ron Paul 2012
End the FED
End the Occupations.
End the Drug War.
End The Income tax.
End Government intervention in Medicine.
End Corpratism.

At this point I rate politicans in what they do away with.
Rather then what they try to give us.

You can't lose money when you don't do anything while you are in office. Save splooging on a blue dress.

Sadly, the big bank money controlling the airwaves of the mainstream media will never let Ron Paul be seen in a good light. He threatens their stranglehold on our financial future, so will be nothing more than a background candidate, while they put the "beautiful" candidates out on the catwalk for america to drool over.

heck no,,,, no more Clintons....

Clinton swung to the middle only because he had to. He had zero foreign policy and allowed Al Queda to become brazen and emboldened while at the same time destroying our own intelligence agencies... a perfect storm which blew in on 9/11.

NO THANKS!!!
