Ok so this isn't my first grow but it will be my first grow with flowering. I am relativity new to hydroponics but i did my homework and mastered the veg phase :bigjoint:, so i think its time to move onto the next step. For lighting I have a custom built room with a air-cooled high intensity lighting system utilizing both HPS and MH spectrums (70% HPS/30% MH) totaling around 1000W refracted with panda film walls, so its a pretty bright room:mrgreen:. For growing i just chose to keep it simple with a General Hydroponics Waterfarm module. After and building several aeroponics systems i find that this simple setup saves so much time and it is so easy to maintain. No sprayers, hoses, or water pumps to go out on you. I started out with a Ebb and Flow system then to a aeroponic and then to this "Drip" system, so many choices! Im so happy with the outcome that im thinking of scraping my other systems and just investing in a "CAP Ebb n Grow" or a "GH WaterFarm 8" they are just soo easy to maintain considering i dont have 24/7 to dedicate. The simpler the less chance a part breaks, right? Anyway back to the grow....My choice was Dinafem Moby Dick a White Widow and Haze Cross. Other characteristics that caught my eye: High THC (16-20%) Low CBD. High Yields and Shorter Flowering time. Now my Moby has been going for about 8 weeks and as i type i just completed the transition to flower this weekend. So far Moby has been astonishing as far as how fast and big it grows. It's at 26 inches. It really surprised me :-P. So here are a few pic's PLEASE tell me what ya think.:peace: (BTW i cant figure out how to caption the photos and dont feel like un-attaching to change file names so the dates are as follows Small to Large - Pic 1: Oct 12 Pic 2: Oct 17 Pic 3: Oct 27 Pic 4: Nov 2 Pic 5: Today)

Well just got back from my room and a couple changes already as usual. Moby is about 2 inches taller coming in at 28 inches and as a side note im also flowering some Joint Doctor Lowryder AK47's. I ordered 6 seeds and only 3 came through for me. The others seemed to have weird birth defects and were discarded. They are older than Moby by a couple weeks however they have gone longer than their usual cycle, which in what i have read all seem to need to be put into 12/12. The only reason i ordered the lowryders was to have a fast harvest and so far they have been disappointing:wall: half of them were duds and the other half are taking awhile (lifecycle was suppose to be 2.5 months to harvest). Coco123 how many do you keep under your 400w? How did you plan on growing your Moby? He sure is a heavy eater at around a gallon a day to every two days has been noticed at this point. Moby was veg'd for almost 2 months and got HUGE on me. this thing is like a shrub with taking up about 2 square feet wide and almost 5 feet high including the waterfarm module. Im hoping for a good harvest off of this one plant. Now time for me to get off here and order some more ph down. (Pictures are of my 3 Lowryder AK47's)

The lowryders seem to be doing better! I have been browsing forums about the lowryders and how some of them need to be put into 12/12... they were right no buding really until the 12/12. Moby is huge, i don't know what else to say. Its measuring in at 39 inches, buding pretty fast, and is very thirsty. Every morning I check i see a noticeable difference. The first two pics are of Moby and her main cola, the second two are some lowryder shots, and the last one is how much Ph down I have left :wall: about 4cc. It takes me 5cc a gal at my current water condition. I hope rush shipping doesn't cost me an arm and a leg! On a creative note i made sure to use GH Ph Down for Moby before I ran out, and the lowryders needed about 4 gallons so i did a little research and found that APi Ph Down for aquariums contains the same chemical (food grade sulfuric acid) as Ph down made for hydroponics however it is much more diluted than a 10% solution. So it took 11cc per gallon to achieve the Ph I wanted. Only suitable substitute i was able to find within a 50mi radius. Bought from a local pet store. I would never do this but im in a pinch and its definitely worth a try incase it happens again i guess.

I'm excited to see this thread. I'm going to pop my MD seed soon.

I'm growing it in a 5 foot cabinet, so I'm gonna try to keep it to like 2 1/2 - 3 foot tall...We'll see how that works.

Scrog :)

:weed: Shes looking very nice, oddly enough i encountered a algae problem on the roots that clogged up my whole drip system so we had to take care of that. Im now down to 2 lowryders because one was very unhealthy so we chopped her down. XxslashxX I Picked Moby because she came free with my order of 6 lowryders... only 2 made it. Will not make that mistake in ordering again, i think they are too high maintenance ladys. Also recieved Powerkush and Pineapple Express. talon how long do you think you will veg your Moby for?

Hey is that strain supposed to be like the new "big bud" except with quality this time? I don't know if you've seen the 42 pounds from 10 trees thread but I'm going to be running that same system and could use a really heavy producer for it. Right now I have pine ex, mendo, special ed, ak47, blueberry and a subcool strain I forget the name of but none are super huge producers really so this thread caught my eye...

I was thinking of vegging my baby about a month, but we'll have to see about space constraints. I'm going to run a 5-gallon bucket DWC system in a 1.75 foot by 3 foot cabinet that's about 5 foot tall. 250W HPS from seed. It should be a great experience.

Unfortunately my Moby turned out to be a Hermie. It ended up pollinating my AK too. The last time i checked them i noticed some seed pods so i chopped them all down. I was running full nutes and didnt flush them. However after curing i still revieved some pretty dank bud but it is seedy ... back to the drawing board. I think pineapple express is next :hump:

I have a Moby Dick as well and she is almost ready to be chopped down. The Moby is on the right. On the left is a Slyder seed. Not trying to hijack your thread either. I took some clones from it but they didn't live so I will try and reveg it after I harvest it.
