The Bubblehead Showcase

I just chopped down my 2 small girls. Boy am I happy. They didn't produce quite as much as I had hoped, but I think the big girl will even things out when she's done. Wet weight is 120.5 grams (4.3 oz) so I will probably only get just over an ounce when it's dried. The largest bud is 9.3 grams wet and I have 3 others that are between 8 and 9 grams. I saved all the trims and tiny buds that were not worth trimming, and I will make hash when they are dry. Check out the pics.

Thanks guys! I know I will have a very high holiday LOL. Well I still have my big girl to harvest in about 2 weeks I figure. I am excited for my second grow, but that won't be until september.

Unfortunately i screwed up the blue hash about a month and a half from finish. I guess she got nutrient lockout so bad that i couldnt get it right again... for 2 weeks i was fighting with her and she just wouldnt come to. Pulled her a month too early and still pulled 1.5 ounces off of her. Dinafem has some really good genetics though and i would definately love to give the BH another try. I thought it was funny... I was ashamed at my self for messing up, but people around here couldnt tell the difference between what i grew and some of the stuff that we get from out of state, so i guess that made me happy also I made oil out of about half of her. Besides i have heard you could actually get a faster harvest with hydro so that 1 month early might actually of only been like 2 or 3 weeks early, but none the less still messed her up and i learned somethings, but atleast i was still gettin high for a month :).

Who ever told you hydro is faster is confusing things a bit. The plant takes the time it needs to mature. And that's that. If it takes 66 days to be ripe that's what it takes. Hydro can help plants grow bigger it the same time period compared to soil so i guess you could say its faster in that context. But if your doing soil right its really not much difference. I do dwc and really like it but the buds ripen in the same time frame regardless. Ok here's another wrench in the mix. Lots of people are growing hydro and dont ever know it. Technically its hydro if your growing medium is not supplying nutrients to the plant. So "soils" like sunshine mix etc. that have no nutrients in them and have you supplying everything they get after the initial food the seedling has stored up to start life is gone is an ebb and flow with a very long time between water on and off. These mediums are great for beginners because they offer a good buffer for the plants so its harder to over feed them. things just happen slower in those mediums. With what is commonly accepted as "hydro" it can be a touch harder as you have to keep a closer eye on things as they can go bad fast. You also need a few things that are must haves that you can skip with soil so it keeps the cost lower by a few bucks. Hope this clears up some things and good luck.
