LOL no shit im so ripped readin that shit its hilarious
Dont know if anyone mentioned this. Earlier someone asked if you can have too much co2. Yes, i think around 3000ppm and it is dangerous for you and your plants. But, you can also use a quick boost like this to kils mites in your grow room.. Sometimes this is accomplished by letting off a whole tank of co2 in your room at once. You boost the co2 for an houror two to those HIGH levels, and it suffocates all the bugs... Or so Ive heard. Anyway, someone mentioned 5000ppm, I think it would be really hard to get that high of a level, but it would DEFINITELY be bad. Bad for humans, as well.. You generally want to stay around 12-1500. And Im not sure, but I have also read to turn off the co2 during the last weeks of flower, but I havent found anything specific on this. Is this something you HAVE to do? Will it hurt my plants if I let the co2 run until I harvest?

Things 2 Know About Adding Yeast & Sugar.

Too Much Yeast will cause the fermentation reaction to occur too quickly.

Too Much Sugar will break down the cells in the Yeast and not allow fermentation.

Both these things will affect negatively the release of the CO2.

You will know when you are out of CO2 in the Bottle because the Valve Release will stop bubbling.
You can add more sugar to the mixture when it stops bubbling, or simply empty it out & make up a new mixture.

Also it is a good idea to put the bottle of CO2 as level to your plants as you can get them as CO2 is heavier than Oxygen and will not benefit you or your plants if it is released at a lower level.

Enjoy :blsmoke:

I have made wine at home. and a closet with a carboid or two of wine fermenting can saturate a room. 5-10lbs sugar and 3 tbls live brewers yeast and 5 gallon any form or type of juice of your choice...

I do not know the c02 output for 5 gals of fermenting juice.

Hmm, dunno 4 certain, however it sounds like u have negative pressure inside ur bottle and it is trying to pull air in.. Shouldnt b a problem to open the lid, equalise the pressure and do it back up again.

I dont know if its possible to create 'too much' or if it has any adverse affects, but the plants grow best at 1500ppm, so id say anything over wud not be useful even if it was not detrimental.
I didn't read through the hole post - so someone else may have told you guys this. But you can DEFINITELY have too much co2. I would not go over 1500ppm at all. Basically if you have too much - your roots will not be getting enough oxygen. (Especially since co2 weighs more then oxygen). So more co2 would be sinking into the roots (which need oxygen).

So PLEASE be careful with your co2 output!

Have a good day! And great tutorial there ninja! bongsmilie

hi, i've got a 1.2 x 1.2 x 2m grow tent with 8 plants vegging. i've implemented a 2ltr co2 bubbler but was wondering how much co2 that is producing and if i should add another? it bubbles every 5 seconds. i want to try and get as near as possible to the optimum 1500ppm but have no idea where i currently am. great post by the way, any help appreciated, thanks.

Hey Bud, I had a similiar size grow tent, and it was taking close to 4 bottles to get up around the level required. In your instance I reckon try using a bucket.

hey i was wondering if you dont use a Release Valve what happens?
The same thing, the Co2 is released.. The valve is just a Tool to monitor whether or not gas is being expelled.

Not worth the effort.
C6H12O6 (glucose)
2 C
2H5OH (ethyl alcohol) + 2 CO2
1cup sugar = 250grams/180grams(molar mass of glucose)=1.38mol glucose(sugar)

1.38mole x 44g(molar mass of carbon dioxide)= 60.72 grams carbon dioxide.

60.72g/1.98grams a liter=30.6liters carbon dioxide

so only about 30.5 liters would be produced over a week, and that is idealy so the actual gas is probably a lot less.
