browsing through your thread a while back I never would of imagined myself doing all this electrical work... I just dropped by to say thank you... thank you thank you thank you... your pictures and breakdown of what you did inspired me to tackle my own project and man I gotta say I couldnt be happier... You are the fuckin man!!

I took out four 20A breakers from my main panel and replaced them with two double 20A breakers and one dual 60A breaker. The two doubles replaced the four I took out, and from the 60A breaker I ran #6 wire about 100 feet to my sub-panel in my growroom. I installed one double 20A breaker to power my 240v outlets, as well as one single 15A & one double 15A breaker to power my 110v outlets.

4 days ago I didnt know what an amp or a volt was or the difference between gauges of wire... Now I feel like throwin an add in the paper as an electrician for hire!! Ya baby!!

Again thank you... you fuckin rock...

SOG long time no see!! been a while since ive read your journals, your doing great. I love that with a little reading I can learn almost everything I need to know with no questions asked. I am also an innovator and have engineered my own design for a grow op. Keep up the good work

OK I have a sog question involving submersible pumps. I am building my veg area on a four level metal rack. By four levels I mean four platforms approx 2' by 4' feet each one on top of the other with a vertical cleared space of a foot between each rack. I will be placing treys on the racks and the reservoirs will be on the ground. What type of pump (or how powerful of a pump) do i need to transfer the water from the ground to the various racks. They are each different heights from eachother with the shortest being 2 feet from the floor, then 3 feet from the floor, then 4, and of course, 5. Also should I use a seperate pump for each trey or can i hook up multiple feed lines to a pump. Thx in advance to whomever answers this question for me. Now imma go get high.

Hey, Igrowbig. Sounds like you've got a stadium setup.
Check it out, I've got a 4950 GPH centrifugal pump that runs on a timer for multiple spray lines. I'm lifting about 4 and half feet to my highest spray lines. I thought about running submersible, but decided against it. I'm sure glad I did. I thought the pump might be overkill, but now I see it is working out better than expected. God I love my home built aero unit... I couldn't be happier.
This is half of my home built unit, with SOG method.

SOG, forgive me if you have already answered this, I don't have the patience to read through the entire discussion thread. How did you cut your pvc fence posts, more specifically, the end that goes into your reservoir, with such precision? I was thinking about using a mitter box to cut my pvc on my next DIY aero, but I doubt even that would yield the professionalism that whatever you used did.

used a miter saw for the straight cuts
the angled ones, were simple traced with a marker
then cut by hand with a dremel tool
something like this

Interesting, so are the post tilted slightly to prevent standing water near the roots, or has that not been a problem?

I have to say I have the utmost respect for your explicit, detailed oriented approach to growing. If everyone had this approach to technology and their lives in general, then plasma tv's and hybrid vehicles would have been 80's inventions. Today, we would be watching super high definition movies with sixteen times the resolution of high definition via a holographic projection and driving air compressed cars.

lol, its all here i just detached the cooltubes from the AAW
and folded the tent which is up for grabs if anyone needs a 10x10' tent
i removed my heat exchanger for now, ill run open lights with both my AC running
i also changes my sites so i can run one large res (120g) with my IntelliDose
still running aero nft, only this time i didn't feel like building again
so i went with the AF2 60 with 60 extension for this round
my EZ cloner is loaded with OG baby girls waiting to go in
i was able to grab amazing genetics at the recent PNC farmers market
