5 CFL's currently rated at 40watts I think. When I got them I bought them becuase of the lumes not the watts.
The tallest plant is a foot and a half. I have no idea how many are male or female. I check everyday as soon as that light comes on, but nothing yet.
Oh, and going back to the lights. I had to do this grow very cheap. So the light set up is, Timer from Amazon bought after planted but before flower, the 5 cfls, a power strip, and light bulb to outlet converters. Whole light set up was $30. How I have them suspended is with leather straps. (a trade I picked up over the years). The leather is strong enough to hold the weights of the lights, resistant to the heat, and smooth enough to pull up or slide down on just a metal rod with no pullys or anything like that.
Easiest set up ever.

I've been smokin on NorCal greens for almost 20 years. Yeah, I get "decent" weed. So many people on this site think they smoke the best weed in the world and everyone else are newbie pinners that smoke sticks.

I like to keep the lights about 4 inches away. These plants surprise me every morning how much they have grown.
Oh and the leather strapping I am using is less than a cm thick.
You have to love leather. lol.

ya thats a good height i was wondering i couldnt tell from the pics i wanted to be sure before throwin a comment about light height at someone who already knows but just lookin out
i use big bud and overdrive my plants are about 5ft tall,i just clipped the top bud off one of mine to see if the rest of the plant grows a little more but the top nug weighed 22.5 grams wet does that sound decent? i just started growing my first plant in November ,so i'm new. thanks...edit to add a pic...

i don't know this is my first good looking bud i've cut..i cut lowers to smoke but i never bothered to weigh them but this one looks so much better i had to see..its sticky and covered in white..i added a pic to my last post so you could see it

i think ed rosenthal said 1 gal for every 1 ft in height imho ya it definately will help when u chop the rest take a pic of the root system for me
