A well run government medical plan would allow the poor to access medical services, while letting the sniveling right wing Nazis buy expensive first rate greedy doctors services. I'd say that would be a great solution. Let's be real here, if one makes in excess of 150-300K, unless they get a catastrophic illness, they can well afford out of pocket medical, if not, high priced insurance, the cadillac plan. So all you rich motherfuckers quit sniveling, just pay your taxes and shit the hell up, thank you.
...............and why don't all you commies quit your snivelling and move to China already?

Well I have some good news for you Vi ... the senate thanks to john McCain....has derailed the VAT ... for now. yes, it is a hideous idea.... and yes, the progressives want it... go figure.

High...you obviously don't get it. A person who is does not pay income taxes also does not consume nearly as much as those that do. It comes to to EXTRA cash...which they do not have. The most accurate barometer to measure "kicking into the till" is INCOME TAX. Everything else is second fiddle. It also does NOT mean since 45% of the revenue is income, that ppl exempt are kicking in on the remaining 55%.

Other "well run" government plans:

1. Social Security ... Broke.

2. Medicare ... Broke.

3. Post Office ... Broke.

4. Amtrak ... Broke.

5. Fiat money system ... 13 TRILLION national debt.

6. Federal Reserve: Never audited ... and not accountable.

7. FHA ... Broke.

8. Fannie Mae ... Broke.

9. Freddy Mac ... Broke.

Tell us again Med ... how's this government run medical system going to work??

LOL this is almost funny after our society has spent the last 500 years exploiting the working poor in order to redistribute the wealth to a smaller and smaller subset of the population. And the interesting part is that none of this was intentional its just the way a free market economy and human nature naturally work together in the absence of regulation. Many of our most vital jobs require the least amount of training or skills ( like farming and sanitation) thus it is all about how cheep can you get someone to do the job. When you have a large surplus of available workers then the wages paid to those workers will drop because nobody wants to pay Paul $5.00 for what Peter will do for $4.75.

Remember this lyric because it how this country got to where it is now.
"Make good money, five dollars a day. Made anymore, I might move away."
You quote me, yet you do not directly answer the questions I raise. It is easy to rationalize when those basic questions are avoided or
rationalized through other answers that avoid the question. I'm used to it though.

Redistribution by force...you okay with that?

Those that take the risks...those with the ideas...those with the smarts....reap the rewards.... the difference is in the USA anyone...and I mean anyone can rise from the gutter and live in a penthouse. It's really up to YOU.
Running to the govt. to somehow make you feel whole is like little red riding hood running to the wolf for an escort.

You end up in the belly of the beast.

About two weeks ago the company I work for enacted a new policy.

All hourly employees are now part-timers. No one is scheduled for more than 30 hours a week. Only management, a few key employees, and commissioned sales people are exempt. The company instantly went from having a shitload of full-time employees to a mere hand full.

The employees were told it was because business was down.

But the funny thing is they hired up in preparation for this and then cut all hourly employee's hours.

Which dovetails nicely with the enactment of MessiahCare.

Proggies apparently know nothing of the concept of unintended consequences.

When all of this Obamacare business started I tried telling people that there would be some unintended consequences as a result. Nothing the govt. does seems to work out the way they tell us it would. It's amazing how so many people ignore this fact. There are always unintended consequences no matter what we try to do. Usually they are worse than what the program is supposed to fix. Go figure. :???:

It won't be a big deal for young people who've never had anything worse than a couple of stitches or a broken leg. I always hear how younger members from the U.K. love the healthcare over there. They don't know any better because there's no frame of reference. Well we do know better! It hasn't even kicked in yet and we're already starting to see the negative consequences. It doesn't look good.

My man, I've been working in the medical field for over 20 years. I lived in Europe for almost 2 years. I've worked side by side with medical professionals from all over the world. I served in Desert Storm, Bosnia and Somalia in the early 90's. I've seen a lot of shit. I've worked in Italian hospitals and Spanish hospitals. This is a small taste of my "frame of reference". If you'd like more info about my personal life I'd be happy to tell you anything you'd like to know. :-P

The British health care is broke, the hospitals are constantly in the papers and found to be unclean. There are big shortages of doctors...the list goes on and on.

If you want a band aid.... socialist medicine is fine. Not cheaper, but fine. If you are seriously ill.... you are in trouble. Kind of why they come here, if they can.

Funny thing is , the Founding Fathers had no DEMOCRACY in mind at all in fact they absolutely abhorred the idea of the USA being a democracy. We are a Republic and there is a HUGE difference!! Health care by someone else is not a right, you cannot force someone to take care of you at their own expense, the Constitution is directly opposesd to this kind of thinking!! Go learn more and maybe read the Federalist papers while your at it so that you can actully grasp what this country is about, cuz it sure aint about no stinkin Democracy.
One can either be a strict constitutionalist, or believe as I, that the constitution is a living document. This belief means that changes in society will be accounted for and the constitution will be adjusted to fit. The basic premis of the constitution will always apply, But strict interpretation must not be adhered to. This is not the same country as Sam Adams lived in, or George washington. We have much more interaction with the world and it is people like yourself that are strict constitutionalists that are holding us back from being all that we can be.
Most of the original signers of the constitution were the elites of their time. Does it not seem reasonable that they set the country up to favor elites? Of course they did. It is people like you that want these same rules to apply to modern times. The elites have enough rules on their side. It is time for a few rules to help the people, like universal single payer health care for example.

Med O'Mao ...

You're the one that continually rails against the human trait of greed. The constitution is a contract that stands between tyranny (greed) and liberty. You may feel that the Constitution is a "living document,' but the fact is, human nature hasn't changed since the founding. The Constitution keeps, or is supposed to keep, the central government from exceeding it's bounds.

For some reason most people forget this about 15 seconds after leaving their government class. If people better understood this terribly simple fact, we'd probably have a whole lot less division in this country. Good post Vi.bongsmilie

^^^ Right ... and this is why the Progressives misread the intent of the TEA Party. Its not about taxes ... its about the central government over-stepping it's bounds in ALL areas.
