im brainstorming some ideas for making a light mover but i cant think of anything that i could use that isnt chain driven or where i wont have to mount the motor myself.......any suggestions.

hell id settle for buying one if i could find a kit for under $300.

dude named mattso i think used a fan. he took fan off and light moves left to right like a circulating fan. but thats not really moving it much.

diy mover questionable. a giant glass dome thats 150 degrees hanging on a motorized thing I built would have me a bit worried to ever leave the room. all for diy but safely

running a light mover instead of another light will save you tons on energy cost like you wouldent believe folks.
this is more of what im looking for. thank you!

but also I think i could diy one out cheaper than this probably if i can think of a design.....
the ocilating component from a fan sounds promising....I think you could use a string and pulley system to move light side to side...probably wont move as far as a lightrail(6' of horizontal movement)but sounds promising...

Have you ever noticed the trich production is highest facing the light??? I've seen light movers give a higher yield and potency in others grows...if you are groing for headstash, a light mover is a great addition...I am gonna try the fan idea in my small area...I think I'll hook a n eyelet to each side and a string to my fan, then ocilate it and see how much movement I can get...

yeah if you rigged pulleys you could turn the 6 inches the fan turns into 6 feet technically. but make sure its safe, when I say a big glass dome, I was thinking of my 400 MH light hanging. its like 4 inch dome

A rotisserie cooker motor is all I can think of. But no sure how to make it stop and go the other way.
yeah if i could make a big circle disc i could hang lights on that and put a christmas tree spinner thingy upside down attached to the circle and lights would be more productive.
but i didnt wanna use that type of setup thingy.

just go by one. You know it will work and you have no worries. It like $200 and you will see results and get what you put into it 10x.

Good luck
