WHat are these little pod developing under the buds? Hermi?

Kids are home so I cant post a picture at this time, but I seem to have what looks like a seed pod developing under several bud sites. I am 3 weeks from harvest.

They have a single orange hair growing out of them. I squished one & in the middle it looked like a white underdeveloped seed.

What up with THAT?

The buds are developing normally, very sugary at this point. Hairs are about 10% orange. Is bubbalicious feminized auto from Nirvana. These pictures are couple weeks old.

No balls in those pictures. I just posted those to let you see what state their at. I cant take pictures at this time because my kids are here. :) Can't open the cabinet infront of the wee ones.

I hoped the description would have helped. I will post pics as soon as they kids go outside for a while

I found a thread that had pictures. Ok.. So lets say it is a hermi. How bad is that? What I mean is can you still smoke it? Its covered in sugary goodness :) Should I harvest now or can I wait a couple more weeks?

Darn kids... I really want to post pictures!

Managed to get 5 mins without the kids. Please review & comment on what I think may be hermiing of my babies!

Second last pictures show one pretty clear

i'd grow it out especially if its your only plant. if ya think about it...if you're like me, about 50% of the smoke i've paid for had at least some seeds. so really, all those plants were hermies too.

Just pick them off inspect plant every a.m and every p.m and do what you need to. Had a hermie my last round and did this and didn't have any seeds and the smoke was good. Its a bitch and takes time but worth it unless you have more females in the same area losing 1 plant is not so bad.goodluck

I would look at picture 16, that node at the meeting of the branch and main stem, pull it off, or those type, if you got seeded those are usually first to get it. I would look at a lot of those, and if more than 20% or so are seeded, you really need to do some damage control and figure out where all the pollen is coming from, may mean taking everything out and inspecting them one by one from bottom to top. A green light in the dark may make this easier as the yellow of the males stands out in the green light. Good luck.

Too many people around. Cant select just the photos I want. Sorry for all the pictures. If you look at the second to last one it shows one of the pods Im talking about. See how its covered in trichomes.

Should I pick through them (I only have the 2 plants) & tear them all off before they start to produce pollen? I don't really understand the hermi thing. I have those little pods on both my plants. So does that mean that BOTH my plants have turned hermi? Does that make me a bad father? Did I hurt my girls? WHat are the odds of BOTH of them turning?

I thought I was growing some seriously decend buds here :(

just looks like swollen calyx's to me. They get nice and round toward harvest. If its a herm sack open it up OUTSIDE THE ROOM and inspect it for what will look like lil tiny bananas with tiny balls inside aka pollen. They might even burst the pollen when you start messing with them. Be careful not to get that into your room. If its a calyx it will have white hairs and sometimes the calyx is still closed and the hairs are still inside. Looks like a swollen calyx to me ill check again tho after i post. Good job great yield for 2 plants you should be a proud father!

I squished one of them & it looked like a small white seed inside of it. No structure though. Just a little white dot.

DOes anyone have a picture of the dreaded "bananas"?

yes u can still smoke it, you could let it finish and get some seeds out of it
some inbred seeds with hermie trait.
I'm growing 3 plants atm that came from a hermie , I don't even know which plant was the father but the mother is buddahs sister, I fully expect things to go wrong with them but this is just research, I don't really care if they live or die (although 2 of them are doing quite well. Chances are they will hermie from what I understand but we'll see. Force a plant to hermie is the way they produce feminized seed but the plant they force to hermie IS NOT the one they pollinate and make the seed. Collect that pollen and use it on a different plant and maybe you'll have some decent seed, maybe not, chances are it wasn't forced to hermie it already had the trait. Dutchmasters reverse and penetrator.

Nice, I will monitor them closely though. My wife says this is the last Im allowed to grow for while. ( Only second real grow)

Basement stinks. Deck stinks, box is too small etc. Using charcoal filters, bounce, venting outside after scrubbing etc. Taking precautions but not enouhg. Gonna finish these 2 then rebuild the whole grow cabinet with all the new information I've accumulated :)
