Well fdd, this newsletter is going to be circulated to every member of RIU. You ok with that?

catch me before i get cranky and i'm pretty easy going. you remember.

Actually we already got a character... the little green guy. Easy to put a cape on him and call him superbud... write a cartoon around that. Something else even... you just need to be good at illustrations and basic joke storylines.

I cant help you there, but there are alot of creative members out there I;m sure someone can They may not be elite so I dont think they can read this.
Also, in the security thing... I want to be able to start a thread after the issue goes out each month where members can come if they have more questions on the topic covered that month or have some trick or the trade to offer. What section on the boards would a thread like this best go into. It cant be the security section for elite members only because i want everyone to be able to get involved! I want to include the thread info in the article.

Also, what was the call on links in the article. And what about references for facts stated. (should I note sources or is this not that formal)

hopefully i'll have it done tonight. i'm going to be taking pics and discussing things such as money and legal issues. if it makes it to the public boards it may not serve the purpose i am seeking. i want to educate others. i figured putting it in the elite section will help expose the info to those who really care. i'm rambling but i hope this makes sense. that and i'm trying to draw in more elite members.

Thanks fdd. Yes I already considered that there was a reason why you want it in the elite section only.
The info I am looking for is 'completely' for my own selfish reasons
and I won't be using for the newsletter. That info is going to be collected by myself only so YES I totally understand.

I cant help you there, but there are alot of creative members out there I;m sure someone can They may not be elite so I dont think they can read this.

we should put teasers in the newsletter that link to articles in the elite section. this will draw in more elite members. give the public a taste of what they are missing. make them want to become elite.

We need somebody that's good with graphics... I think we should prefer someone that is elite, but if not we're going to have to go look in gen pop'.

Is this newsletter public knowledge yet?

If not, then to ask for a graphics designer will surely let the cat out of the bag. Either way, we need somebody fast.

I dont know if it is public or not. I have not said anything! I dont know of a graphic designer thats elite, but I dont know everyone yet!

I was having problems logging on last night... which would probably have been afternoon for most of you... Still a little surprised to see this thread hasn't gone anywhere.

Lumber, what did you have in mind? I'm going to put a thread in gen pop asking for the graphics guy. I'll even take care of the Ask Bud thing if nobody else wants it.

We still need a grow system review with pic's... that's quite a lengthy article with (hopefully) original pic's. If not think of someone you could interview.

I think we need to know who's actually involved in this and who isn't.

atm, I only see lacy, dank, milf and myself.

I have offered up the idea for a directory and a cultural news section. The directory can included links, new web sites, grow shops, lighting etc. The news could feature marijuana news from around the world each month. What do u think?

OK lumber, i've got an idea... you could ask VV (victor vicious) about his cfl grow system. He's got a nice set-up. Doesn't have to be him, could be anybody you might be able to think of. Any journals you've picked up on, or that stand out to you.

You could pluck the info straight from the journal, but lay it out in one story, pic's too. The story still gets attributed to you but it's about so-and-so's grow. Just get the owners permission and maybe get extra info that's not in the journal, that kind of thing.
