11,000 watt super grow.

So I was doing a 3,000 watt grow and between landlord issues and the residential grow just not cutting it, I decided it was time to go commercial. Here we go 2,000 square foot warehouse! I have built a room that is completely drywalled with moisture proof drywall and double insulated with plastic and insulation. It is divided into three rooms, a veg room (10'x10') a flower room (16'x18') and a utility room.

The electrical was all just professionally run with exposed conduit for easy modification. It is on a 180 amp sub panel with 240 for the lighting and AC as well as 120 for all else. the lights in the flower and veg rooms are controlled by an industrial strength contactor and a dual timer. Pictures of the panel and the rooms will follow.

The main room has 8 1,000 watt plugs lining the side walls and the veg room has 3 1,000 watt plugs. the electrical cost over 6,000 dollars all said and done. does that seem right? I was told it was a hookup price.

Anyways, the veg room is just completed, the flowering room still needs to have the CO2 system for the sealed setup installed as well as the lighting and lighting ventilation.

I think this will be the start of a beautiful thing.

Very nice man. I have a 12000w commercial grow with a buddy of mine. Were doin it in a 2000sq ft house. so 6k for just the electrical work? Seems a little steep but I don't knnow exatcly what they had to do. I paid under 2k for the electrical at the house and it was all done too code, but it was a good buddy of mine that did it. Its also niice not having to pay a single cent for electric bill from grow equipment. ;)
THis is a risk I am not willing to take. I work for a bail bonds company and we just bailed someone out at 100,000 dollars because they got caught stealing electricity here in california. not worth the 700 dollars in monthly savings. I would rather pay for freedom and peace of mind.

Stealing electricity is one of the easiest ways to get caught!

A. it is a commercial building so my kwh goes from 44 cents (residential) down to only 9 to 13 cents depending on season. that translates to about 550 dollars a month for lighting. furthermore we have more than enough MMJ licenses on site to grow up to 99 plants allowing us to stay under the federal radar. Landlord is cool too so I am not worried. Just cross your T's and dot your I's my friends and you will be fine. having a good lawyer doesnt hurt either.

Oh, did not expect a grow that big to be a legal one(well sorta). I consulted with my lawyer before I started growing to know what not to do and how to stay as legal as possible.

Im not" stealing" power. No spliced power lines or anything. My meter reads every single kw I use. I can't really go into details about how this is done on here but im sure some of u guys already know. We still get a huuge bill every month, were just not required to pay it. Grow is 100% legal too.

Thanks I love you too.

My bill comes out to almost 1500 a month that's including everything so it adds up. That's like almost 6 grand a cycle so for me the savings are worth it. I know the bill would be much cheaper if it wwas in an industial area because of big break u get with kw per hour. Withtin a year we will be moving our opperation to a 3000-4000 sq ft ware house

are you on that cali care program or something? the one that reduces the cost of your electrical if you qualify based on income? ahhhh now it all makes sense.

Right on. I have 5 types of kush goin right now in mini grow and all have responded very well to LST. (Madman og, sfv og, blackberry og, platinum bubba and pre98). I am expirementing with different ways of lsting also, trying to find what's best for me.

Im sure u shouldn't have a hard time gettin any of those strains in the bay area. I would recommend sfv og and pre98 since they are highest in demand by clubs here in socal
