Advanced Flushing Techniques

Well, I have doubts about the claim that flushing draws out metals and toxins... How? Heavy metals are immobile. Flushing can remove elements from the root zone, but I don't believe the plant actually expels anything during the process. Otherwise, outdoor plants would suffer from deficiencies after a heavy rain.

The wiki on EDTA mentions that it is a "Persistent Organic Pollutant" - That may be an important consideration those who are more environmentally inclined.

Final Phase may contain citric acid, but isn't "mostly", citric acid. If it was, the MSDS would have to reflect that. It's likely a very small concentration. Fact is, it's mostly water.

I'm really starting to think this is pretty well just sugar-water and Epsom salt with lemon juice. Not that there is anything wrong with that, per se. It's just that at +$50 a jug, it's a little pricey. I could make that for next to nothing. Hell, I could mix it up with some lime.

You talk a good game. But we have yet to see any of your players on the field though. You toolbag are the one who does not have a clue. Flushing is cannabis forum bullshit. Nothing but myth aand lore with absolutely no scientific, botonical or gardening fact behind it. Put up or shut up......

well coming from someone that never even tryed a flushing agent, you talk a lot of shit. You sound so certain when you never tried to experement for urself. And there are scientific studies that prove the efectiveness of these products but you wouldnt know. I love how people on these forums like to act like they know everything when never try for themselves. N e wayz when you grow a 2 lb plant indoors then you can hola at me. This thread is for more for advanced growers that arent scared to spend a few exrta dollers to get a better quality product. And im not even here to talk about "flushing agents", i want to know the kind of results ppl are geting using enzymes and carbs, stuff which you proboly know nothing about. O yea hers one of my players right here
IMG_0096.jpgo yea and toolbag.... this is at week 6 of 10 go read a couple grow books and get back to me

Oh, I see... This is a pissing match thread.

I'd post a pick, but my plant is so huge I can't get it all in the frame. It's like sixty feet tall and takes three minutes to walk around. Last one I grew yielded like eight thousand pounds. So there.

ha lmao some of u guys r rediculus i dnt even know y i do this forum bs. i have ntn to prove to n e 1 here. ALL I WANT TO KNOW IS PPLS EXPERIANCE USING ENZYMES AND/OR CARBS AFTER THE INITIAL FLUSH. If you have any other tricks thats great anything else i dnt wnna here. sory some pll dnt believe in a 2lb plant indoors but if i was a pro with 1700w that couldve been a 5lb plant or prob even more, but believe wat u wnt it really makes no dif to me

I think the fact he has 27 posts speaks for itself...

I hate to say it, but cutting corners on something as silly as water, is cutting corners on something relevant. In this case your wallet.
All you have to do is put your plant on a drain, and fill it with water. You do not have to use EXACTLY 3x the amount of water. Just flush them with like 15g of water a day, for a week.
I think the fact he has 27 posts speaks for itself...
No, it really fucking doesn't. Posts don't mean anything, a lot of first time posters have been growing pot since they were 15.
Then these computer nerds get on, and think that if they have 12000 posts, they are smart.
No.
You are a moron.

thnx for backing me up guys but like i said i have ntn to prove. i culd post pix of my arm length colas but that wnt do ne thing for me but make me paranoid. i thought i could cum on these forums and get some info from actual growers that love doing this as much as i do but all i ever get is pissing matches. i might do a sidde by side in the future comparing lights buts i think my all importanat post wont be getting past 50 n e time soon. i think i get more solid information from the 3 different bibles i got. less than 30post but i have 2 rooms that ppl only dream of having

I get my flushing info from someone who has been leagly comercially growing for more that 15 years...Everything he does is lab tested on every grow. He told me 9 days in the min flush according to his lab test and residues in the plant tissues. That being said when I'm growing in soil I use sunshine #4 with 25% addition of course perlite. This mix allows me to flush ,as I did yesterday,. I use 7 gallom pots and flush 5 gal of ph'ed water at 6.5 with 10 ml gal of clearex. It goes through this soil mix in 3 or 4 min. I just poor the waste on my garden, my potatoes are huge! LOL! Of course in my hydro grows I just use ph'ed water at 5.8 and clearex and change the res every 3 or 4 days or so.

Hey Advanced! These pissing matches are why I'm rarley on this forum anymore! Hint Try the Stinkbuddies Forum! We act like family over there!

The complete unsubstantiated bull manure in this thread is mind boggling. Nutrient companies like advanced have gone to a new low.

People, think basic science and stop with these miracle cures! If you're into growing, read a plant biology book. Understand the 'osmotic process' and you will understand your plants.

http://david-r-wetzel.suite101.com/investigating-osmosis-in-plants-a93047

The whole point of a flush is to let the plant properly finish it's life cycle and to let the fruit rippen as the plant feels the stresses of artificial winter approaching. Removing it's nutrient source (by flushing) will cause the plant to consume stored reserves, ripen it's fruits in a last effort to reproduce and die. This is what you want.

In hydroponics, a simple ppm difference is all it takes not some magical, expensive bullshit clearing agent. If your plants are at 1200ppm begin to drop this in order to reach a ppm of plain PH adjusted water at 1 weeks from harvest. The ppm difference will stop nutrient uptake and properly introduce deficiencies and stress needed to properly finish and not have your product taste crappy.

Flush for the last week with plain PH adjusted water.

In soil run PH adjusted water through the medium in order to achieve the same effect. Though in soil, it's easier to simply stop fertilizing earlier in order to achieve a simple natural result.

No magical flushing agent is needed. Take some OG advice, save your money and don't buy a pretty label from advanced or anybody. You are wasting your money.

Not going to argue the point on flushing, like comparing apples to oranges one better than the other?
No just one might tast better to another! So to me flushing is a must for you it might not be! Saying its
A myth well thats your opion, just like assholes we all got one :) but to say flushing is a noob thing to
Do is a bold statement.........BEN

Once again Ben comes in to action with his negative energy and "I'm better than you, noob." attitude.
"Flushing is a myth"
In what context?
As in nobody in the world flushes?

You have no point in that statement, what you could have said was "Flushing for _____ effect is a myth."
The point is, flushed weed tastes better and smokes smoother.
That's all that needs to be said on a marketing level.

So what, maybe you don't sell your smoke.
Well then why are you so concerned about filling your plants with fertilizer to the end?
