Not really... Just do some research on the proper wiring of a multi-tap core and coil kit, and read the wiring diagrams that it comes with... Alot of kits come pre-wired, and only require the user to plug them in... It all depends on what type u get, and the setup u have, as in how they r controlled... I do not recommend using those cheap little plug-in timers, as they r not rated to carry the constant loads of most HID lights... A time clock with itz own control circuit, and lighting contactors in an enclosure are the safest way to go, and for that, u would probably want to be friends with a wireman... The quickest way to fuck up is by mis-wiring things and burning up precious equipment, and gardens, and worst-case scenario, your home... Just do some research once u get yer kit, and u should be ok... U can get advice from electricians on here(like PMing me), or from electrical supply houses where u would find yer timeclocks, and the proper lighting contactors that r rated to carry these loads... The guy who works at Lowes in the electrical section is likely NOT an electrician, and in my experiences, don't know enough about electrical things to be giving advice...
