I'm a social liberal. I don't support the democratic party often though, but I never support the gop.

"All Americans belong to government" just means in general that all Americans are a part of it so anyone can be involved. It's not some fascist slang that means we are owned by gov or forced to be involved.

You conservatives really are in your own bubbles. Thankfully you are a minority, thankfully 50% of the population that considers themselves conservative are about 1/3 democrats.

Where did you hear that? was it taken out of context? (you didn't build that).

Interestingly thought, states view children in their state as "assets". at least when it comes to child support.

So do public schools, when it comes to funding.

I'm not saying you don't know what they meant 225 years ago when they put "Republican", I just know some asshat would think they mean the same thing Republican today means.

It means we are a REPUBLIC, not republican you moron.

Do you know what a republic is? Know anything about the history of the world? Have any clue about the different forms of government? NO? Well guess I can't help you by pointing out the obvious things that you don't know about.

You did notice in the definition of republic that nowhere is democracy mentioned, you noticed that right?
