Should Welfare Recipients be Forced to Perform Community Service?

Or be cut off if they refuse?

There are many jobs that be can done that local governments cannot afford. Work like cleaning streets, removing unsightly graffiti to voluntary employment tutoring schoolchildren. Of course, single parents/caregivers for someone with a disability should not be made to work, only able bodied people would be made to work.

Handouts have proven not to work and send the wrong message. There is plenty of community service that can be done and this would give the person receiving public assistance some worth and work experience!
emphatically yes.....

Nah, no feeling hurt here. I was just wondering if this name calling habit of yours is practiced in front of people in person or if you only do it behind a computer scree?
Once again, what name did I call you? Repeating the accusation over and over again will not make it true. Even if the GOP says it does. Let me quote the post so we can see where the name calling occurred.

dude.. how many times are you going to say dude in this thread?

Pulling a random baseless accusation out of your fetid asshole is not truth. It's just you modifying and promoting the welfare queen narrative.

Yes, me a BYU graduate and devout Mormon. A liberal leftie. How's that alternative reality working for you?
Well...hmm... I don't see any evidence of name calling...

I have a solution to save billions in Welfare dollars.

Cut back welfare and spend the money on free education.

Try giving everyone the same opportunities, that'll weed out the people who want to work and those who don't (who SHOULD get cut off).

Heres a controversial question for this particular board.

What about someone who sells treadmills and claims welfare as an explanation of where they got their money from? Is it wrong? I'm torn on it myself cos I understand the need but why should it cost me tax money?

It's no different than someone working under the table and collecting assistance, fraud is fraud no matter what package you wrap it in. But you have to admit it's something else to accuse others of not paying enough taxes to support the very system they are defrauding!

Would that include all the way up to a graduate degree? Would it also include the purchase of books and supplies as well as living expenses? I would be completely behind that.

Hey, anyone that read the thread knows you wormed your way out of answering a question, I certainly don't need your admittance.

If you're embarrassed to answer my question, that's fine.

No sir, you got caught in a lie and are now trying to change the narrative. Kind of like Romney. You're shaking the etch-a-sketch.

As for your stupid ass question? What I do in my little off-line world is none of your fucking business.

Now I can see why UB has taken such pleasure in debunking your bullshit. LOL

Still spinning. Your accusation of name calling was regarding the post I quoted back at you with... SURPRISE... no name calling. Pulling up other posts unrelated to the issue at hand won't change that fact. Nice try. You really are good at the GOP spin cycle. Very impressive.

What Carne doesnt seem to realize is that ever mother runs a daycare...

They just have to be qualified to get paid for it... (god bless government intervention in this case... I cant imagine having UNQUALIFIED women taking care of children... ) LOL!!! Just another example of where government is just getting in the damn way.

riiight. Your idea was to have welfare-to-work recipients (what did you call it? Community Service? Like for people who commit a crime) run and work in a daycare center without background checks, training, qualifications, education or an inclination to like children. Brilliant. Or was that beenthere. I can't remember which of you is the sockpuppet.
