Man looking good. What size light will you be using for the girls? I'm still new to hempy but don't you think you want your roots a little bit longer before transplanting them into the 2l bottles?

I am Flowering with 400w HPS.. As long as I water every day, the root system does not need to be very established at all. They will continue to be feed daily, and grow right down into the res. It will take about a week, and then I will cut back watering the Perlite Vermiculite Mix to every other day. Doing it this way does not seem to slow them down a bit.. You will see when I take pics over the next few days how fast they grow. That is about the time I will kick up the PPMs.

The girls are starting to purk up and the new growth is a little on the Lime Colored Side, so It's time to start increasing the PPM's.. Today they got 200 (.5 conv) and will go up again over the next few days of watering

Here is a pic of a couple of Mothers, Doing Great and getting bushy :hump:. They have been sitting at 300 PPM, and will start to increase them to 400 PPM over the next couple of waterings.

I wanted to Journal my PVC risers. I built these yesterday, and now we can reach the plants in the back a lot easier for watering, and also less mess than the crates we were using to get the newer girls up to the light. As they grow, I can simply put shorter legs on them, to bring the girls down as needed.

We can also see them getting bigger every day. I will move them up to 300ppm in the next day or two, and in about another 3-4 days, we should see the roots hit the res, then we will adjust our watering.

Looking good. I'm still taking notes from all hempy growers. When you say you will adjust your watering once the roots hit the res do you mean by how much nutes and water you give them or feeding them every day to every other day?

No problem! once the roots hit, i will drop the watering for the perlite vermiculite mix down to every other day, and keep the perlite mix being watered daily. This is my side by side experiment.. ppm,s will continue to rise by about 100 per week.

I noticed this morning that there is a root poking out of one of the 2 Liter holes, so it looks like we are just about there, and you can start to see it up top as well. That took a week in case your following along

Their PPM's were bumped up to 250 today, and may go up to 300 tomorrow.

Rusty, I really like your bottle rack stand. I was thinking I would need some sort of bleacher stand if I ever got the 2L thing going. Because I'd want to start a row of bottles every couple of wks. You've opened up many more thoughts for me. Thanks

Right on!! Keep DIYing.. I could not find the right sized tubs to hold the 2 liter bottles, so I cut a couple in half and taped them together at the size I needed, then drilled drain holes in them. The PVC stands are working great, and certainly making things a little easier to move around and get to.

Saw your recent grow in World of Hempy,, they sure are looking good!!

I was going to do a PVC stand as well so that I do not have to get on my knees like a prostitute. Lol. I was going to use a two 4x4 trays or one 4x8 tray to hold 128 2l's bottles. I'll show you a pic if its okay to post in your journal.

Post Away Rocket!! Lets see what's doin.

Instead of using the bigger trays/bins, I went smaller so they can be a little easier to work with, and stay somewhat modular.

Lets Bang out a quick Wednesday update!

The girls have obviously hit the res and are getting taller every day. I will cut back watering the Perlite/Vermiculite mix this weekend, and the experiment will begin.

Two moms got a little defoliation this morning in order to get light to all of the clone sites.

Two more moms that were transplanted into their hempy buckets last weekend.

You can really see how they are taking off now that they hit the rez. Anxious to see what happens with your experiment.

The girls are really shooting up now.. Also still showing a little too much Lime Green color, so I am moving their PPM's up slowly,,, Tomorrow they will get a good 350ppm (.5 conv), and probably 400ppm by Sunday or Monday.

Only Perlite side was watered today..

Here is a pick so you can kinda see my OTHER Current 2 Liter grow. They have a couple weeks still to go, and I did not journal them, because they were sort of left over clones that either needed to be dumped, or stuffed as far under the light as possible (Considering I already had another grow using the light), so quite frankly I didn't expect them to do much,, They stretched more than they should have, and I got some side branching,, But I am also not unhappy with what they are producing,, So I aint complainin!!

These are the Mums that were transplanted last weekend. They look like they may just be hitting the res.

And here are the Mums that we defoliated last weekend. They also continue to look great!! I think we will be able to start taking clones in another couple of weeks.
