Hey I was wondering how big your floor space was I'm doing my closet and just order a tent that is 2 feet 8 in x 2 feet 8 in and I am on the fence between a 600 or 400 it does stay pretty cool down in the basement

hi . i'm new to the site . cant figure out how to start a thread yet . i have a question about hps light . i'm going to grow 1 plant . i plan on buying a 150 watt hps . my question is will 150 watts grow potent buds ? or do i need to get more watts ?

You will be ok with 150 watts just try and get you temperature and humidity right and keep that light around 5 or 6 inches away as close as you can without burning your plant

For 1 plant 150w should be pretty good! If anything just throw in some supplemental CFLs to give your grow that extra umph. Safe side, I'd just get the 250w if your space allows for it.
A 400w HPS is suffice. They rate it for up to 3x3 spaces so you'd be fine! Your choice.

The only bad part about if you get a dimmable, running your light bulbs on 50%, 75%, etc. will cause it to wear out quicker than if you had it on 100% all the time. Not sure why, just what I've heard! Let me know what you decide on

Little update!!
So I did some defoliating on the Blue Widow, I'm not going to touch the Chemdawg. I want to see if defoliating will actually help get denser nugs/better yield! Would consider it to be an experiment but seeing as it's different strains I wont have a definitive answer.. Maybe next grow I'll run two Cheese Dawgs or GrandDoggy Purps at the same time and do defoliating vs no defoliating.
The growth on both plants, however, is fucking insane! I plan on letting them grow for two more weeks before I do a rez change into bloom nutes and switch the lights.
I'm glad to say that the LA Diva is continuing to stretch out and grow not by much but maybe it won't be such a crappy plant after all lol. Really wish I put it into soil and a bigger pot but you live and you learn!
Pics coming either Tuesday/Wednesday as I will be gone for the Holidays.

Yeah cool thanks I'll let you know what I decide I am almost positive I'm going to go with a dimable 600 I need to order it soon and some beans and that would be cool in the future if you do the defoliation thing I've heard don't touch anything that isn't dying than others say do it but moderately, iv slowly been doing some but not a lot if stunted mine b4 I think I couple here and there won't stunt them much

I am also growing Chemdawg under 400w hps. I am using a DWC system with Advanced Nutrients. Left is Chemdawg right is White Widow from Pyramid Seeds. Chemdawg stretched a lot more and has less leaves. Also, the White Widow is about 2 1/2 weeks farther along.

LA Diva, & her lady parts.
She's starting to stretch out, thankfully, I thought I'd be stuck with a gram off this bitch! But there's a lot of bud sites popping up so early so now I'm hoping for closer to half an Oz.
And finally! Chemdawg.
I'm probably going to do a rez change in two or three days and then flip before Monday.. Before these monsters explode out my closet
