the bigger pot is going in rite derection need more soil a lot more light and stop watering so much with proper cotainer and soil amount once every fourth day or when soil is dry about 3-4 inches down, i know its not proper soil for cannibis but mirical potting mix works pretty good ,not soil. the pottng miix thats the roots to grow easy and to breath ihave used it and under a 400 watt grow light 3 to 4 foot tall and got 2.5 dry oz of buds and some of the bottoms needed more light so i never used thoughs so mirical grow potting mix will work and im pretty sure canada has that
Appreciate the feedback. The light is good now, thanks. You're right about the overwatering. That has also been taken care of.
As for miracle grow, I was recommended not to use that due to it's low PH levels. I think it's almost 2 levels under recommended. Ph level of 5 does not supply enough oxygen activity.

I did buy a soil that is designed for all plants, supplying them with nutrients to last up to 6 months. That way, I dont need to add nute's during vegetation stage.

You might be right about the bottom leaves not getting enough light, but I am worried If I add another light fixture it will over stress the plant.
Baby steps.

Here's the update I mentioned.
I decided not to water them. Instead I transplanted A to a bigger pot, and filled a bit of soil on B so I dont see the ball bulging out of the soil. Tell me what you think.

looking good but i think your transplanting them too much. as i stated earlier you should have waited a couple weeks then just lifted them out and put more dirt in the same containers and set them back in. its not the pot size its the amount of soil. if you have them in a 10 gal pot but only fill it up 1/2 way its the same as having them in a 5 gal pot.

either way its time to just leave them alone. you can fill the pots in with soil if you want but dont take the plants out again. your just stressing them and keeping them from growing.

Left was getting too big for her pot. I screwed up by not transplanting with the rest of them last week (Didnt have enough soil >.<)
I was worrying that the roots coming out the drainage holes would break.

Did I just screw up again? LOL

your just transplanting them too much, they need to develope a good root system in thier pots before they will grow good.

you didnt "screw up" persay but leaving them alone would have been more ideal.

the roots will always find the drainage holes, the air will dry them out and they will shoot off new roots from the sides. breaking a root off thats coming out of a drainage hole isnt a huge deal. your plants are just stressed out pretty bad right now and leaving them alone to grow under that light is your best option.

I'm sorry, I cant control the urge to care for them like actual pets. I'm used to babying all living things.
For some reason I think of these plants as little kids, need to have fun under the sun, Water when hydrated, nutrients when hungry.

talking to them is good lol as your breathe out CO2 enriched air and they like that.

and thats the biggest problem new growers have is they always feel like there something more to do to the plants to help them and generally end up hurting them. less is more, as long as your not speaking of lighting then its the opposite.

has someone been talking to their plants lately? :P
I'll read em a bedtime story before the lights go off tonight :)

This is the kind of comment I look forward to, the realistic approach. Not yet do I have the knowledge for growing, but comments like this develop it.
I will keep this in mind from now on until always.
Thank you.

Try to remind yourself that plants have been growing forever in forests with no human help what-so-ever. What would mother nature do?

Not read the whole thread but your plants were over nuted and overwatered , caused by you adding feed when already in the soil, listen to Mr Brute...

ya feeding every 2nd watering when they are small in soil is nono. great soil never needs anything but water and not alot.

The spots on ur leaves? any white patches? notice any fruit fly "aphids" when u disturb soil? they are hard to see.

As like any other freshmen to rollitup, I've been viewing lots of these threads via google in order to help me with my plants. Rollitup has become my number one option when looking for support to help my plants, and now that I am officially a grower I feel that I deserve to make an account here.

Moving on, Lately i've been having problems with my 3 baby's.
They are roughly 3 & 1/2 months old, living under 2x4' flourscent tubes.
I feed them nutrients every other day, whilst regular water on the days I dont.
Recently, I've been seeing alot of problems in my plants.
- Lower leaves dying
- Wiltering, Yellowing
- Lack of stems and branches?

I'm not sure. So I did my research.

I found out that this can all be due to lack of nutrients and/or underwatering, which could be caused by rootbound.
When I removed one of the plants from its pot, I noticed the roots were very 'web' looking and traced along the soils outer layer.
I decided to go out and purchase larger pots and transplant them with new soil.
I didn't buy enough soil for all 3, only enough for 1. So I operated on the one that needed the most treatment.
Took it out of it's pot, shook out the roots and transplanted.
Added the leftover fertilizer in the other plants soil for the time being until I run out and buy some today.

But the results still seem to be the same. The leaves are still drooping, yellowing and curling in.
Usually when I water them they dont droop no more, but hours later they are back down.

Also posted some pictures.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

ohh my.

those poor plants need more of EVERYTHING.

1) bigger pots, and for chirst's sake fill the pots to like an inch below the top. what pot-space you have is greatly reduced by the fact that your pots are HALF EMPTY! all you need is like 3 cm (about an inch) between the top of the dirt and the top of the pot so you dont spill the water on the floor. you can use anything that can hold dirt for a pot, cutoff milk jugs, old rubbish bins, the fabric "air pots" sold in hydro shops etc... you could even grow dope in a wicker laundry hamper if you put it it on a tray to catch the runoff.

2) better soil. if all you can get is ordinary potting mix cuz youre on a budget, get one big sack of miracle gro (10 kilos for a couple bucks) and get a brick of coco fiber to mix in (2 kilos for $12, which inflates up to a HUGE amount)
moisten the coco brick till it fluffs up (do it outside, even your bathtub isnt big enough for this operation, trust me) and stir in the potting mix till its all well mixed in, then plant the dope plant in the pot.
the basic rule is, The amount of plant ABOVE the ground is roughly equivalent to the amount of plant BELOW the ground. you cant grow giant trees in a dixie cup.

3) more light. 2 tubes in a 4 foot fixture doesnt tell us what wattage of bulb youre using, what colour it gives off, how close it is to the plant tops, what kind of reflection you use, or even whether its a T12 or a T5. even if we assume youre using the best possible choice for the given parameters (2x 4 foot T5 @ 5600k at around 48 watts total) thats not enough light for anything but slow growth for clones and mother plants. youre gonna need at least 5x as much light to get them going for real growth. also, you need to get those flourescents right down near the plant tops for any effect. outside 20 cm ( 8 inches or so) flourescents fall off to nothing and youll still need maximum reflectivity on all sides to send the light back in.

4) More water. water the pots, not the plants. if the dirt has water the plant will go get it, as long as your drainage is good (NO STANDING WATER EVER!!!) it's really hard to overwater your dope.

5) More Food. but not too much. if you are using potting mix you wont need to fertilize for a month or so after you repot them with more dirt, but if you are draining a shitload of water out the bottom you can wash away the micro-nutrients pretty easy. for newbs, get the Osmocote pellets from home depot/lowes. (19-6-12) and toss a cluster of the pellets, the size of a nickel at most, right on top of your soil, and let the water take the gravy down. dont dig them in. and dont add more pellets till you switch to flowering, unles your plants get HUGE, you put them outside in the sun, or they get a little pale (which means they are hungry). as long as they are green they are fine. dont feed them to death. watch for pale colour in the new growth for time to add more fertilizers.

6) a wind simulator. put an oscillating fan near them, and let it keep the air moving. let it swing back and forth, so they arent in a wind tunnel though, and set it on low or medium, just enough to keep the leafs rustling. this is ESSENTIAL

7) stop spraying the leafs! water on the leafs indoors will damage the leafs and promote fungus indoors. keep the tops dry and their feet wet. only spray the leafs when they get dusty or dirty, then wipe em dry gently. indoors you dont want dampness on the leafs. they will have a hard enough time transpiring indoors without that. rememebr water goes in the pot, those water stains on your leafs can turn to rot overnight

and finally, snip off the dead leafs. dont let dead leafs hang around. they grow mould. and mould kills dope.

I disagree with ~#7
I have always done this with no ill effects, only in the veg stage obviously.

actually the plant pulls nutrients out of the leaves and they will fall off on thier own.

he has already increased pot size and he does not in any way shape or form need more water....he was over ferting in the begining. he has a fan and a bigger light and his soil should be just fine.....
not really seeing how you came up with your "advice" but its pretty bad, next time try reading the whole thread before posting advice to someone based off thier first post in a 12 page thread.

Precisely. This is one of the factors i've embedded into my head now. This will defs be avoided next grow.

Not much white spots now, there was plenty when i was feeding but not no more.

fruit fly babies? hmm.. I dont have fruit flies in my house to begin with. The only arachnids in my house are spiders. But that's only cos I like em.

Thanks for looking out, appreciate it :)
