Hey Sub - After I put the SS in a can and it starts cooking do I just wait a month for it to finish or should I open it periodically and let it breath or mix it? Did you ever sample the Mulanje?
Cheers,
Mo

Thanks T - Rep+

When the SS is ready do I want to break it up or do I just try to keep the web intact?

Mo

Edit - you read my mind! :)

I let mine sit for about 40 days at room temp (basement) then took outside and mixed each bin then filled them back up. but I did use some that day right after the mix up. Ill pry mix each bin again everytime I use some.

Just a heads up on using Super Soil before cooking... There is a lot of pH balancing going on while cooking due to the recipe's large amounts of amendments (bloodmeal, guano, etc.). As a result there is a lot of ammonia produced as a byproduct of the cooking process. That shit is caustic, and will fry your roots. The other reason to let it cook is to wait for ammendments to break down some so the nutrients they carry are more readily available, which will give a better balance to the mix on the whole (or in the hole:leaf:).

All the while the mycorrhizae in the mix are inoculating and feeding on the ingredients also, breaking them down further for quick absorption by the roots and makes them available when the plant chooses to feed on specific nutrients.

So if your jumping the gun a bit, your missing out on using the soil at it's potential.

Glad I saw this cuz I had similar questions. I grow with AN and man it's a lot of bottles especially after five years of using them. Don't get me wrong i like the line a lot but at the same time I like the organic side of things too. So which has led me to mix up a batch once the weather breaks here in the mitten state.

Ill still use AN, but with the SS ill be able to have that nice organic smoke. Plus everyone I work with says they aren't sure about the SS mix. So ill buy the stuff mix it up and who knows maybe ill b able to help a lot of people grow good meds who have struggled in the past.

I see more people come into work and buy a nute line just to quit growing because they don't have the patience to fig out how to use the line. So if I can be able to help those people I'm all about that.

What aren't they sure about?? You mixing it and showing'em will probably be the best way. once you see the super soil results you'll never want to buy a nute product line again. do they just not believe you can grow big yielding plants without throwing a bunch of expensive bottled liquid teas in? :)

I've got a source for Jillybean cuts... Harborside Oakland has them all the time :)

Thanks Bongwell. The AO I just grew heavily reminds me of the Tangerine cut I used to get a little while back. . .
