euthanize ...=[

My cat "kitty kitty meow meow" (that is her name) brought a field mouse for me... she usually brings things dead. Anyways this mouse is still alive and seems to have some issues that are most likely fatal, so I did some research and supposedly the best way to euthanize is suffocation. Do you think if I put it in a jar and took a huge green hit in my mouth and filled the jar with smoke that would be a humane way for it to go?

I've raised 3 babies field mice before and interbreed them 3 generations then let the offspring go. I wonder if this one is related....

OMG I'm going to have nightmares... I'm pretty damn sure taking a huge rock and dropping it on it would have be the way it wanted to go

Suffocation still takes seconds to possibly minutes. Quickest would probably be one quick stomp or crush it with something.
I don't mean to sound cruel or anything, but if its dying there's no solution thats going to make you feel good...

You could just let nature run its course and leave it outside for some other animal to eat. Sucks, but that'd be the realest way to do it. The mouses death will then at least be beneficial in some way.

I was going to suggest throwing it up in the air then hitting it for 6 with a shovel.

give it some weed then suffocate it. that's a pretty good way to go on natures scale. id say its stupid to call that cruel

I have enough ants outside the font door from blood and guts of gophers mostly. She is "like" the best cat ever, but she talks a lot. Sometimes I walk around with her on my shoulders pretending she is a beautiful fur coat... I'm sure my neighbors think I'm gay.

Suffocating, drowning, and being burned alive are three ways I wouldn't want to go out. You should knock it unconscious (and most likely kill it) by placing it in a plastic bag and just smack that thing. I know it sounds bad, but it takes out the mouse upon impact.. then just to make sure he's at rest (lol) now, place him in the jar.

give the mouse a decent respectable death. create a tiny rope with a tiny noose and let it hang itself. give it a last meal too.

I had an incident where I almsost drown. It wasn't that bad once the calmness overcomes you and you just sink. My brother wouldn't let me die on his watch though. Man I miss that guy today.

Put it on the floor and hit it with anything heavy/solid enough to put it out of its misery instantly

Why not stop being rude and keep your cat inside?
Cats kill billions of animals each year.
If you actually care about animals you should keep your cat inside.

Indoor cats live longer than outdoor cats.

The only reason to let cats outside is ignorance.

I absolutely love the fact she kills gophers, ground squirrels, and those damn invasive red squirrels.... but indigenous field mice I don't. I also don't like when she eats the heads off humming birds, I've only seen her kill 3 humming birds. ..shit I've killed one before

I always feed humming birds all year round. One time a all black male humming bird was guarding 3 feeders and 5 other humming birds wanted food, so I shot it out of the air with a BB gun first attempt. I was feeling a bit conflicted until my girlfriend cheered me on for it.

Shortly after shooting the male a female made a nest near there and had two babies I got to watch shit all over everything.
