The 700 watts of cfl's in a shitty contraption i made burnt the fuck out of my ladies... When going into 15 plus bulbs, they scorch just like a hps at that point.
The post you quoted is 2 months old. Thats quite a lot of CFLs lol. I would recommend a HPS aswell. **BACK ON TOPIC**

I ended up going with a 600w HPS instead of the 400w. Just switched them to flowering today.

Thanks for the reply!

Suggestions?

Really it depends on what is available in your area or what you may want to order online.
My experiences, if you are feeding them properly the "name brand" doesnt matter.
If miracle gro is all you have access to, then get miracle gro bloom booster. it is like 15 30 20 or something like that.
If there is a good nursery around you, they most likely have a line or more of nutrients. I have been using General Organics for the last handful of batches and works just fine. My friend uses Tiger Bloom (Fox Farms) and it works just fine.

June 9th

Switched to flowering (20/4 changed to 12/12)
Changed bulb from MH to HPS
Treated with neem oil

Tomorrow, I will treat the magnesium deficient leaves with some Epsom salt spray.
I would recommend using MH bulb for the first two weeks of 12/12, then switch to HPS.
It MIGHT help control stretching.

Hey Rosen, haven't seen this thread in a while. Looks like you up and running, looking good! I switched to DynaGro products from Fox Farm and like it. Super concentrate and not to expensive, all in one with the trace elements too. I use gro for veg, bloom for flower and supplement in some ProTekt as well. I try to keep it simple, I don't like buying and mixing a bunch of stuff together. To help with stretch I use the MH first two weeks and don't change to my bloom food until that point as well.

yeah. just my opinion. its pretty cheap although you might be able to find something cheaper. i used it last year on my outdoor because i was on a tight budget and i was happy with the outcome.

Ok great. I ordered my nutrients.. should be here friday. Hopefully that will fix the problems the leaves have started showing. Here are some new pictures...

For 3 of the plants it looks like a magnesium deficiency (darker spots on some leaves and yellowish lightly colored on the others)

But the last plant doesn't show the above symptoms. It has a completely different problem, yellow tips. Nute burn right? Solution is to just water with PH balanced water?

Each of these appear to have different problems.

My guess: nute burn.

My guess: magnesium deficiency

my guess: water droplet caused magnifying glass effect?

How are they looking?

Under 40x magnification I am having a hard time determining the stage my trichomes are at. They do look milky, but its hard to tell and I also don't see any amber (I know this is degraded THC, but if it was any where near ready shouldnt I at least see a little bit?)

I was planning on buying 60x magnification tomorrow. The pictures below are of Northern Lights

I'd hang on until your 60x arrives...there's plenty of time imo.

I don't think I've ever seen a thread about a grow being harvested too late...;)

Today, I opened the box and saw that the light wasn't on. I thought the light bulb might just be dead, but the ballast it self wasn't running. If Im unable to get it running again, what do I do? Im getting closer and closer to harvest and the light has been off ALL day today.

Looks like you still have some time on those. Hairs will start to recede and bud will begin to amber. It is the hardest part of the grow as you have waited so long. My last grow went two additional weeks from when I thought they would be done. I know everyone throws out the two week thing. Can you get some light in there maybe even some cfl until you get a new ballast? You are close, 60x will help you get a better idea of where your at. Some prefer 50/50 amber cloudy some pull first site of amber just make sure there is not lots of clear still.
