I know I won't get it in time for the Spyder cross this go around.
so I can run a few Spyders next grow.
Throw out all but the best looking female to pollenate with my Blue Dream fem pollen.

With the number of seeds I will have(from the pollination I just did, Spyder male x female) I can always make more. or feminize the strain. or both.

No matter what I have to wait a bit for these BBYY to grow up and get sexed, cloned, and for male pollen collection.

Little bit of time but it's all fuckin worth it to me. :)

I kinda had to start a new thread for this. I have 41 plants right now. and keeping up with theSpyders in the Auto Solo contest, as well as my SxI sprouts for The Dank & Stew Grow. and then My grow journal. Dreaming Big....... just get's to be much if I don't split everything up... :)

I have a lot going on considering how small my space is. I'm sexing six plants and have a clone from one that turned out female that's 4 weeks in as well as the S1 mom and dad. I grow in a 2x2x4 box for flower and I veg in an 18gal storage tote, I need to cull some plants ASAP. Hopefully some males show quickly. And hopefully Drue grows some soon too!

I started in a small space before I moved here. even my last grow was confined to either a 2x4 table or flowering in a 3x3 section of floor with a 400w HPS.


Now i'm going all out. 8' x 4' tent. currently only 1 400w MH/HPS and one 400w HPS(mag).. getting a second 400w MH/HPS. so I should hit 1200w in flowering. :)

I removed mine 4 days after they popped and started collecting pollen within a week or 2.

Just don't forget to water them and nute them just because they are males. lol
I made the mistake of thinkin I would have enough viable pollen after a week and stunted both of mine for a week before I got some REAL pollen off them..

Now as I crush the dried up sacs they turn to a yellow powder and I got A LOT! lol.. enough for the next few grows at least without harvesting another male Spyder...



Also I remove my female from the tent when I pollenate. instead of just turning off the fans.

this way you can leave her for a few and if you look in my thread between pages 32 and 39 somewhere Jozikins gives a VERY detailed view of his methods of pollenating...


Let me go find them and I'll post them up in here..

Alright. I think that plato plant I got going is lookin' male, but I'm not 100 so want to leave it flowering for a few more days. Trying to think of a spot I could put it and possibly collect pollen or seeds.

Nice man, I'd go with 2 600s over 3 400s personally. And I'd like to have at least 1800W in that space, but 1200W will do the job. You can always upgrade :)

Yeah sometime you can speed up the process by increasing the PPM.

Dank taught me this shit bro.. lol

MrEduck- Yeah I would go with 600's if I could. I don't work. I am a stay at home father. my wallet(aka girlfriend) paid for this grow to get going.

If I don't produce enough to keep me from spending a penny out of pocket for the next year, I doubt i'll be getting any updrades. HAHAHA...

So leaving a piece of paper under the top of the plant takes a while, but it will work and get you the most pollen. But I only plan on hitting 2 or 3 female branches or nugs with each male and that's it. I'll either keep good males as clones after that, or say good bye to the pollen. So for this case, I just collect a little bit real quick. I fold up a piece of paper and stick it under a big male bud with lots of open flowers or opening flowers. You grab the stalk right below the flower and beat the shit out of it against the paper, or just shake it real good. Some flowers will fall off, but so will plenty of pollen, I usually use a leaf or a stem to bat away the male flowers that fell into my pollen. Then I fold up the piece of paper, label it, stick it in a clean jar, label it, and then wipe everything off so it doesn't unintentionally spread.

To control pollinating, cover the plant which you wish to cross with a trash bag, and cut a slit for the desired branch to pollinate. Do your best to keep it well covered and protected. Use a small paint brush to dust your nugs, and then cover with a paper bag and tie shut for 2 days. Make sure each branch that has different pollen on it has a different colored ribbon or a name tag so you can remember the cross. This way you can get 4 different varieties of seeds on 1 plant.

But I grow in a very tight circle, but I also have an outer circle. All of which are the nice people I meet in person here on RIU, lots of good people on here. Other than that, I've known everyone since High School, if not a lot earlier. Nobody is sketchy, we all keep each other in check, most of us has helped each other out of addictions that developed at one point or another during our friendships. I've never had an addiction issue, well, cigarettes and sex, but that's not a minority, lol.

I started growing in '09 in my first pad, a big ass 3 story. Since then, I've almost never had to buy weed, even in a drought all my circle had weed all the time. Everyone I lived with in that first house was a long time friend, and I taught all those mother fuckers how to grow after I did my first, and they've all been killing it since. Not that I'm a wizard or anything, my friends are just real smart people. The only time I've had to buy some smoke was when I moved far a county away and worked 60-80 hour weeks, usually with 1 or no days off. Counties are huge around here, btw. Even still I managed to do 2 small crops start to finish to smoke on, but there was a pretty big gap between the two, and both got rot and I lost half the crop because they got no attention, and I was in "Little Saigon" and it was fucking humid as shit! I'm not racist by the way, the city literally calls itself "Little Saigon."

I'm in the same situation. Fortunately I haven't needed to buy weed in awhile and my wife is really supportive of it because she sees how much benefit I get from it.

I should have started a little sooner or had more plants the last grow to hold me over... lol.. Oh well. gotta do what you gotta do.

dude that shit always happens to me if i was to keep it all i would never run out, but i dont, but look at it this way ur going to have dank, and everybodys gonna say whatz in that weed ur smoking, that shit got u coughing, mendo dope all the way
