advanced nutes

This isn't an argument. I answered your question and asked you what products you feel are more concentrated? Chill.
Yeah, 12 ml is intense... I've never used a nute that called for that much solution.
I have been doing H&G lately.. I never go beyond 8ml/gal. 8+8 (A and B)
With DG, I do 2ml/gal. Not 2+2, (A and B), just 2ml. If I saw intense N def... I would use 3 ml/gal. But 2ml/gal all the way through did me well.

I'd def say I broke a sweat the first time a ever used advanced as those were some serious Ml's per gallon from what I was used to using.

beuffer.. for a first time AN user.. you recommend trying out what you used with your PE grow... carboload big bud overdrive and b52. Sensi a/b for base ?

Earlier, when I said I liked some things I have read from Big Mike... this is what I was talking about... Very interesting read about hydro grow info/labels/advancements/etc clashing with regulations..
This explains part of the reason why you might be seeing vague labels from AN. They use many ingredients that are not recognized as "plant food" by those (AAPFCO) who make that call.

Would you mind giving a brief rundown of what/how you use AN?

It's a topic that comes up enough on RIU that I have to jump in and try it out. I pledged to last year then never carried through with it..

I agree with what many of you say... All of these nutrients, in the hands of a capable grower (not trying to fail), can show good results..
I'll jump in on this as well, because I don't find AN hard to run, but it depends on how you go about it

Heres how I go about it...

At full strength any base is 4mls per G
At full strength any additive is 2 mls per G
(2:1 Ratio)

I run it on a bell curve and maintain that 2:1 ratio. If I run my base half strength (2ml) I would run all additives at (1ml).

As far as what additives to run, Look at the feeding schedule. If you just look at the isle of AN or look at the website, there are so many products that it is indeed confusing. If you look at the feeding chart, the products are easier to distinguish. I run all the additives in what is now called the "Hobbyist" line. I have a few non AN products I like and some other AN additives at times. The pHPerfect line does not need to be pHed. To me, that is easy.

Yea sure, I ran all the bottles for two years and these past two years started weeding out to simplify. Just make sure to get good runoff when you feed. I would like to recommend their piranha tarantula and voodo juice as well great products that benefit tons. Just a little pricey. Scott from rare dankness runs even less bottles than I do he doesn't use b52 but I like it. Oh yea I also foliar with wet Betty real important for more uptake a good product!

One sec ill show ya little greenhouse plant I'm doing with iguana juice and kush mans og tea.

When I leave town.. no matter what nute im currently playing with... whoever watches the garden for me gets left with a bottle of DG 7-9-5..
I leave him/her a 1oz cup, DG, Down, and 15gal totes for mixing...
.. fill the tote with water, dump 1 oz of DG, 1 oz of my diluted down... it doesn't get easier than that.
(Coco, drain to waste, irrigation manifold connected to a pump... drop the pump in the tote... little to no run off) (15gal feeds each 3x9 table, 600 hps, 12 plants in 5 gal grow bags)

But I hear you. using AN isn't rocket science. If you ever DO have to leave your 3 old to tend the garden though... I recommend a temporary use of DG... you can always switch back and it really is as simple as it gets.
Not a bad idea for when leaving town… They can't really mess up… or can they? lol

Excuse the yellow leaves, my mistake! I haven't grown in dirt in four years, overwatered a little but letting oxygen back to the roots so she didn't get hurt too bad lol. Local cross out of GR chemdog x sour diesel we call her chemy D. A buddy gave me a cut so I had to try her out. Iguana juice and og tea with bud candy. Have no clue what I'm doing in dirt so I'm just goin by how the plant looks for feeding.

I had a "buddy" sell some extra equipment once when i was out of town... I'de say he fucked that up.. but not the feeding.

It's funny... the folks i can trust not to squeel are not folks i can trust not to steal from me. I've since shed some "friends"..
I should just never leave town.. haha.

Well each to their own and its not bullshit! Complicated? Not for any growers I know. Stoners? That's just an excuse for not wanting to learn. JAS
perhaps i was a bit harsh. but... i do not think that AN leads the pack as a nute that is free of issues for the average user... perhaps splitting the essentials into many bottles is beneficial, but, if you are talking "simplicity"... imo, there are better options. DG is as easy as it gets. The best? Maybe not... but imo, just as good as any other.

"complicated as all hell" was a little overboard... but as far as simplicity goes, I would disagree that AN leads when you have 1 bottle complete nutes out there that leave no plants lacking the essentials.

looks good. man, it's been a long time since i grew mj in dirt..

i started out plating in hay fields in remote eastern IA. Black dirt you could rip up by hand, like a spunge.. Ah, the good ol' days.

I had a killer spot on a small creek too... a sandbar would come out into this little creek.. i would dig a 3 ft x 3ft hole in the sandbar and fill it in with dirt from nearby woods... I'de throw a couple clones of a Big Bud x Bubbleberry in there and pull epic plants... Only supplementing with Miracle Gro a couple times and Bat Guano a couple times.

The creek ran perfectly with the sun...All day sun. Only one year did the creek flood enough to take out the plants...I loved that spot.
I would grab a fishing pole and catch little perch while checking on the plants... so, i had a reason for being in the area if someone came around.

Yea it's a bit testy compared to rockwool lol. I do have to say though subs supersoil is simple as all gets just plant and water works great for someone like me. I guess I don't like getting my hands dirty lol.

I hear more and more about subs supersoil. I need to try it out.
you buy it premixed then?
really, nothing but plant it in the dirt and water it? that's rad..

No, charge packed it and let it cook. I'm just playin around really, organics is huge where I'm at right now so jumping on the band wagon you could say. Figure ill get the organic going with subs meathod and while plant is on cruise control from SS do all the research I can to better understand organics. So far so good!

My back is injured so if I can get best of both worlds and only have to add water to half my plant count, that's tons of less bending over on my half. Hopefully my plan will come together nicely

You're leaving the part out where you mix 10 different products on a tarp or a kiddie pool (not so stealth or clean for you non-medical folks) and then water, stir and let it cook for 30 days. Definitely takes some planning, space, and physical ability.

Yea it was a back breaker for sure and its dirt man it comes from outside in the first place so I'm not worried about cleanliness lol. I have space don't need stealth I'm just mixing dirt bro. I'm not paralyzed, just on a pain level of ten most the time. I have goals a little work is nothing in my book. Plus once it done you have a good amount and your only using a third of SS in the pot.

If they are non med they can buy it bagged already.

Good argument though I must say.

No argument here, just pointing out the logistics of it all. I did the organic soil thing for a few years too, finally switched to just promix and Pure Blend which actually gave me more yield at a fraction of the effort. Work smart, not hard ;).

Has anyone used AN in soil? I know it's made for hydro. when I first started I went with AN and followed the bottle.... I never knew nutes could do so much damage...

I don't blame AN though. Just my lack od experience. Has anyone ran it in soil? There's almost the entire bottle left and I hate letting anything go to waste. I had sensi a and b, big bud, bud candy, overdrive, and rhino skin.
