we can only ban accounts if thats what you mean.
i dont see why this is a problem that we have a specific way of making sure stickies are properly made for our website, its not pseudo political game its just a good way to do it. weve never had any complaints before and most threads requested for stickies do get stickies.

What's up @Hexal .....1st thing, it says "Non-stocked" and it is a DC Buck driver, just as long as you are aware...Very interesting driver, but it outputs 33v @1.4mA [like you mentioned]. However, the CXA3070's are going to need somewhere around 34.8 volts Minimum!

Are you looking for a PMW compatible driver, so that you can control dimming thru the Arduino?

A Meanwell 185c-1400-42? might work by connecting similarly all cobs in parallel....
The Inventronics EUC 2xx [futurelightingsolutions.com] might work in a series connection...

The meanwell 185c-1400 won't fit 4x of the CXA3070's unfortunately....

Cree is starting to make their own drivers and I have found one or two that seemed decent...PWM compatible too I believe...:peace:

Sorry for the delayed check in- appreciate the response. Yeah 33v will not cut it. I was more looking at that option to keep the Arduino on a simple setup instead of so many separate pieces. Maybe a pipe dream lol I like the dimming option for power draw more than anything. It's not required, can limit via driver too. The EUC-036S070DT looks like it may cover it, a step above the 2xx.

Been readin, readin and some. A constant current, driver volt higher than led volt and watts bout same er. I'm watching meanwell which has adjust"some",and cheapos "idk"dont. Checkin out a 150w damn i need to keep notes...Grounding is for me. I seen some drivers that scares me no lie. Some drives have 2-3 in, we know what the neg-pos out is. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Don't worry about the watts so much, just as long as the Voltage and Amperage are at their requirement 1st!.....Wattage = [Volts x Amps]....but yeah everything else seems good, and on the right track...I use a Meanwell for my Flower light....Bulletproof and with a 7 yr warranty....Just good shit homie!

Thanks for replying, man i was about to pull the trigger on it. Glad i asked you first. I ran across another meanwell with a 3 prong cord on the end and a neg/pos at the other end for cheap, but i want to run the fan off the driver to if possible. This adventure is gonna be harder than i thought. The seller couldnt really answer on it. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=121653585139&alt=web.

It will be difficult to run the fan off the LED driver...there are few drivers out there, mainly Phillips brand, but they tend to be spendy....

The #1st option allows you to wire your Fan Power Supply and Led Driver in parallel from ONE connection, that could help your problem!!!!!!!!

I would say they are nearly the same, the difference being that Meanwell probably has a better warranty....However, these are Constant Voltage drivers, and you would actually need DC-DC Constant Current drivers on top to actually run most types of LED's.....These can be used for most types of strip lighting LED. Most of these types use Constant Voltage because of their wiring circuit.....

Hey mate, thanks for the input.

Like yourself, I'm more experienced at growing outdoors and am still getting my head around the complexities of indoor growing.... I liked the idea of a good quality indoor grow cabinet, but it just seems like one issue after another.

Seems like I've got rid of the odour problem, but now with the exhaust fan (not to mention the intake as well!) what was supposed to be a stealth grow box makes considerable noise....

Did you ever try insulating your fan to reduce noise? I considered it but it seems the noise comes from the air movement, not the fans mechanisms- so I'm not sure how to quieten it....

      Any suggestions?

Nice work on your cab by the way- I think I had a look at it while I was drawing up my initial plans :)
