Uncle Ben's Gardening Tweeks and Pointers

I've seen it two ways: One as a product called 'spinout', which is pre mixed and very expensive, and one as Cupro, which is a 53% copper hydroxide powder: Pretty common on ebay...

uh oh, is this maturing bud starting to herm?

Yes, I imagine there may have been some stress, probably from ambient light during the dark cycles. I grew in an outside shed, and due to having started them in january, I opted to swap the natural light cycle for the opposite - in other words I had the lights on from 9pm-9am. This allowed heat...

uh oh, is this maturing bud starting to herm?

I appreciate the input from everyone ;-) So far I have clipped a couple of lower buds, and have trimmed out what I can see on the rest. The main cola is huge and looking clear so far. I'm going to watch it closely the next day or so and see if these 'pods' start to spread. If so - it's chop time.

uh oh, is this maturing bud starting to herm?

it's weird. Look at the bottom right of the first picture - it doesn't look like your typical female flower. Maybe they are empty seed pods bursting? This plant is 10 weeks into 12/12. On the rest of the bud there are full blown female calyx's all over, but these bright green little thingies...

uh oh, is this maturing bud starting to herm?

don't want to chop her ... Other than the very tips of several of the buds, the rest is pure female. I guess I can trim the bananas off, and let her go.The main cola still looks very good.

uh oh, is this maturing bud starting to herm?

Take a look... It's in the 8th week of flowering, and I'm startin to see some strange looking 'flowers' intermixed with solid female calyx's, particularly near the tips of the lower branch buds. Is this thing starting to herm on me? what should I do?

Want to Know If Your Plants are Finished?

Yes, I certainly think so. Just seeing a number of different buds at various stages of flowering has helped me to feel more comfortable in WAITING. I think I may have pulled mine too soon otherwise, without something to compare to visually.

Want to Know If Your Plants are Finished?

fdd2blk, nice thread... Here's a couple of mine that are 60 days into 12/12. OK - Lemme guess... two weeks?? the thing I'm noticing is that some of the buds (lower ones) are showing the browning pistils before the tops, which stay whiter.

Show Me What You Got LST?

@mcpurple: Yeah, I think I'm close to that window. If I had a little more room I could bend the branches out some to let some light into the lower nodes. But the grow cabinet is packed with a humidifier (I'm in the desert), fan, thermostat, and a heater (outside shed). Oh, and that's right, a...

Show Me What You Got LST?

3 months old. 22 days into 12/12. 1 Big bang, and two (quality) bagseed: I used some light LST on all three, but the one in the front had the most work. It has a number of small bud sites, one of which is highlighted. Would like to continue LST since they have been stretching quite a bit, but...
