I'm on the west coast and just cut mine down today, the cold had turned it completely purple and the rest of this month was gonna be pure rain so even though it was a little early i decided to taker her down
Well i harvested today, It definitely needed more time but there was nothing but rain for the next week so i figured i may as well cut her down now. I hadn't checked her for 5 days before going up today and to my surprise i found the entire plant was dark purple, very cool looking, pics of buds...
Got the seeds from a bag of really good kush it might not be "purple kush" but rather kush that happens to be purple and who knows what it could have been crossed with. Eithor way its showing really good mold resistance and the buds smell fine, I just wish it would flower earlier.
I have seen purple stems on seedlings a few times but never on a mature plant. Purpling is generally caused by cold temperatures and the plants genetics

I am thinking that giving it one...
I have read that ash can be used in a soil mixture as applied as a fertilizer. Just wondering if anyone has had any luck with it and what the best way to apply it would be.
I was thinking I would mix it in with water but i am not sure what proportions to use.
Thanks
haha, yes it probably is just inpatients. Its just that in previous years I my plants would already be flowering by now. As long as the begging of October isn't too nasty then it should do fine.
I started some purple kush halfway through June. I was expecting to see signs of flowering around 2 weeks ago. I realized that there was too much light coming from my house (plant was in backyard) which may have been preventing it form flowering. I moved the plant to a new location were outside...
