looks like you have some kind of lockout. u need to have your ph around 5.8. don't know about those nutes but i don't think they are formulated for hydro.

the smaller the res the more of a swing you might see. especially w tap water. try to let your tap water sit out for a few days w a bubble stone in it. it will help dissipate some of the chlorine. nova definately has buffers in it. i have noticed that 10 gal will stay stable where my smaller 4...

not sure if i should be doing this or not but i have been using alcahol to clean mine and don't store it in anything. just try to soak up any wetness with tissue paper or my shirt (lol) untill it is dry before i put it back in the cap. alcahol will evaporate clean and i have used it to clean...
