Good idea about the tarp to collect water in the garbage bin, how many of those do you set up? The rig isn't big enough to attract attention to your garden?

So you would'nt recommend planting inland from a river if it was over a half hours walk from a path or stream/river? Seems to make water transportation easier. I'm scouting out spots now any other imput?

Thats a great idea. So you have a partner drop you and some gear off at the entrance and he then picks you up later after you have brought it to the site? And yes I plan on having a couple patches with 3 to 5 plants each. Thanks for the imput.

Where do people grow; state parks, forest sanctuaries? Are park rangers a legitimate problem? I'd like to grow maybe 20 females but it will require multiple trips to "prepare" the site. Has parking your vehicle been an issue with anyone? Hopefully someone with experience can shed light on this...

went up the other day to check on some progress. They are looking pretty nice at about 4 in each one big one probably at 5 in. sadly, One was eaten, another was nibbles on and the rest are pretty well besides ants getting to one however 2 were dug up and thrown out of the 3.5 gallon pots...

Another thing. Im going to get some grow bags and dig holes at my spot at an abandoned logging site. How big should the holes be to support these things?

Haha agreed. I started last weekend. its truely tiring work but its def. worth it.

Yeah so obviously a 3.5 gallon pot won't support a healthy grown plant. Im gonna try the grow bag technique. Another thing. Is it just plain hard work as to getting big bags of soil to a grow spot 30 minutes into dense woods? or do you guys have any short cuts or other ideas.

well there up there. seemed to have survived the car ride. had them under lights at night and in a sunny spot during the day. Used straws to keep there stretched stems straight. Hoping for the best and heading up again soon as some of the spots were not hidden enough for when they grow bigger...

Agreed Im def gonna make a trip in a few weeks to see if they survived/ determine males from females. Unfortunately can't really let them grow much longer think i gotta head up tommrow as its my only few days off in the next few weeks and i don't want to get started too late.

Theres a creek and some off shout streams that i may try and plant near just don't want to plant in a swamp or anything. Its a three hour car ride. think if i drive slow and and keep them secure theyll make it? work only allows me to head up this weekend.
