I know that most people say to place mh and hps bulbs about 18" away from plants but the temp is running around 88 with the 400w MH about 6" away from my seedlings. Is this alright? I dont want the plant to stretch at all is my reasoning. Oh and there is no sign of burn on the leaves whatsoever.

Both the seedling leaves and the tiny new leaves coming in are yellow. The new leaves coming in are a light green in the middle but they have been like this since a watering about 3 days ago. I don't know if it is from a possible over watering or if it is a soil issue. The soil was .16-.10-.10...
