Do you really think I could get enough ventilation with a 4" 171cfm inline fan, 6" ducting, 600w HPS with hydrofarm radiant 6 air-cooled reflector
IN A
2.5ft x 3.5 ft x 8ft (70 cubic ft) closet?!
I feel as though the room is so tiny that a 600w light would be far too hot no matter what with my...
Alright word, because through this method I won't have to put the inline fan inside, I can leave it on the outside.
I thought that dimmable was the only way to allow for both in the same ballast
So do I need a dimmable ballast to run both 400w and 600w?
Or can I run a 400 and 600w both on the same ballast non-dimmable?
PS. It is okay to run a 400w on a 75% dimmed 600w ballast? (That comes out to 450w)
As far as I know, a 600w ballast would blow out a 400w bulb. That's what I was told by a hydro store guy, that is why he told me about a dimmable. But i didn't ask enough questions
1) I would need 2 ballasts to do that, though, right?! A lot of money. That's why I was considering dimmable.
2) Could I go Ducting>Reflector>Ducting>Inline fan Outside of tent>Directly into carbon filter? That way I am still pulling the heat out...?
I have a big 6inch carbon filter, the fan is 4inch. Using a 6" to 4" adaptor to connect ducting to fan.
Fan has 171cfm. Plenty for my 100cubic foot room.
I question your method. Because the filter has a cotton filter wrapped around it for large particles, it is supposed to be the first layer...
Alright so I WILL BE GOING WITH 400W BECAUSE OF ALL MY CONCLUSIONS MADE HERE. I ADDED WHAT I LEARNED TO COMMON SENSE AND RESEARCH AND IT DOES MAKE SENSE TO USE 400W IN MY SITUATION. lol

Alright to the QUESTIONS:
1) With a Dimmable 600w. If I ran it at 75% would that be about the same as a...
