how do you feed with nutrients? daily..once a week? the 250HPS did that work fine in a 4 foot enclosure?

Is the 250 watt HPS bulb to much for a 4 foot enclosure? If so what cooling and ventilation accessors would I need?

Im stating a small grow. height of my box is about 3 feet...how do i keep the plants from outgrowing the box??
