Calling all experienced guys...need a little help thanks..

That's just me, I've always used the color of the hairs to determine their growth cycle; sometimes waiting for a majority of red hairs to get a nice medical product as high in CBD and low in THC as possible. I don't have to worry about flushing soil since I don't use synthetics, but for those...

Yeah they look healthy, you would start having your leaves turning yellow if you were doing something wrong as far as the soil goes. I found with cannabis less is more, they're pretty resilient and don't need a lot of water. Just don't let the soil get too dry, you would notice the leaves...

Running MH and HPS side by side to save money?

My only concern was that one spectrum wouldn't reach over all of the plants at once, in a 4x6 tent. Half of my plants only getting HPS spectrum for the most part, and the other half only getting MH spectrum.

Running MH and HPS side by side to save money?

I am using two hoods, would running a MH and HPS side by side work out alright for my ten plants rather then buying two of each kind; just run both throughout their entire growth cycle?

OFFICIAL CMH THREAD! (Post Your Ceramic Metal Halide Grows, ?'s & Experiences Here!)

Since CMH's only go as high as 400 watts as far as I can find, would they be too week for a 5x5, 6x6 grow tent with 10 or 12 plants? They are definitely more fragile hence not going above 400 which is a shame. I had read at one point that Phillips was going to develop an 1000 watt CMH but no dice.

High wattage concentrated, or low wattage spread out?

I am using a 4x6 tent to grow 8 plants, giving me 24 sq. ft. to work with. It is recommended below that at around 20 you want to be using 1000, or the other option is to use two 600 watt fixtures. Would it be better to spread out the light on two lower powered hoods, or have one high wattage...

How far apart should plants be from each other?

Great stuff! So it actually looks as if I need to grow at least 6 or 7 plants, then in that case I would definitely need at least a 600 watt unless one would recommend 1000 watts or even two 600 watts; I would rather do it right the first time around and have everything I need for future grows...

How far apart should plants be from each other?

So basically is it possible to produce over 20 ounces of product in a 3x3 with four plants under one 400 watt fixture? Not just possible even, is it ideal?

How far apart should plants be from each other?

^ Yeah sort of the same question. I have been told that I can get 20 ounces out of four plants, but wasn't sure if you could fit four plants in a 3x3. Now not sure if I have to get a 600 watt setup to produce a good 20 ounces, and in that case I would have to get a 4x4.

How far apart should plants be from each other?

Okay yeah, I'll be looking to get 20 ounces of product; is that possible with four plants?

How far apart should plants be from each other?

Right now I've got a 400 watt hood for an HPS, MH setup. However I'm trying to produce a year supply for my medical needs and can upgrade to a 600 watt if necessary if I were to get a 4x4.

How far apart should plants be from each other?

I've seen some growers squeeze 10 plants in a 4X4, seems awfully crowded. I plan on growing four plants, I figure it's better to give them more room to breath; I could get a 3X3 or a 4X4 grow tent.

How many ounces do you go through a year for daily prescription?

Looks like I should probably grow three plants in a 4X4 with my 600 watt light setup. Three plants in a 3x3 would be a little crowded I would imagine, and I would have to use a 400 watt hood which would produce even lower yields.
