Update as promised...intercepted the mailman in my driveway with the promised card on Saturday 3/10.
snail mailed app 12/7
app received 12/14
card received 3/10
86 day total.
started getting impatient around day 30, last two weeks were borderline obsession, but now ive been to my dispensary...
ive also determined that the usps service standard for mailing to any part of illinois from any part if pennsylvania is 6, 7 or 8 days depending on part of the state.
Got through on the phone number, confirmed approval, card was mailed yesterday 3/7 (see i knew that was gonna be a good date!). Consulting usps service standards to determine new ETA and assuming these get sent standard mail from somewhere in Pennsylvania. would love to know how long others...
thanks for the update! youve said your documentation was sent in on 12/1, is that when you mailed it or is that when idph received it?
i think that they are getting flooded with inquiries as theyve crossed the 90 day mark with more applicants who had that number in mind.
I guess that does suck, Tanker, but depending how they count: 14 business days from 3/2 would put your latest ETA at 3/22, and 10-14 days from 3/2 would put your latest ETA at 3/16. maybe consider having one last 1-2 week fling with booze before your card gets here? probably a terrible idea...
i know each night is hard as a ptsd guy myself...melatonin can get me to sleep but only makes the dreams worse. but hunger is the best sauce, those first nights of indica-assisted rest will be heavenly.
got my wife checking the mail right now aaand...nope. 3/7 remains my goal arrival date for...
congratulations!!
and with a 12/14 application receipt date, same as my cardless self and well after cardless Tanker's?! mysterious, but i want to take it as encouraging as to their current speed, and also maybe as a sign that the arrival dates are less predictable than i'd figured.
thanks and congrats, Rose!
this tells us a) that it appears we're finally back on track with cards hitting mailboxes and b) that the holidays seemed to have moved the wait from under 90 to about exactly 90 days, and we will hopefully be able to get a sense of how fast they are moving by when...
Update: received email "currently your application is processing with the secretary of state. the agency is verifying your illinois residence, confirming that you do not have a cdl license. once this process is complete, SOS will then submit their approval and we will then send your information...
