my 2 cents....store where I get my coco used to get compressed bricks....those needed pre soaking in 6.0 water, then flushed with 6.0 til the water was coming mostly clear from runoff...if you didnt flush the fuck out of it, minimum 3 gallons per gallon of coco, your plants would be hurting for...
