You want to manicure and let them hang for about a week or so...no less then a week. The outside of the bud should be dry. Then cut them up so they fit into mason jars, or tupperware, or even a brown paper bag. I use mason jars.

Cure
Leave the container closed...if it's a bag, roll it shut. Leave it closed for about 5 hours, the buds should now feel moist. Open the bag or jar and leave it open for about 20-30 minutes. Make sure to rotate the nugs to air them out....just shake the jar or bag. Shut the container again for another 5 hours or so. If you go 8 or even 12 hours you'll be ok, but make sure they don't get so wet that they are soaked....it'll cause mold. And don't shut the jar until the buds are dry to the touch again. I'll take about 1-2 weeks to get a nice cure. Don't try to speed it up, you can't. The cure drys the inside of the bud so it doesn't mold from the inside out. It also helps w/ THC and taste quality.

I veg for about 4-6 weeks under 400 W MH. They do stay under CFLs for about 8 weeks before that though. Start out as clones.

it does help them to bulk up, and if you can lower the humidity it will help too.

Flush around the last 2 weeks of flowering. It's to make the plant use up all the nutrients, so all the leaves will start to yellow and die. This is so you aren't smoking the nugs filled with nutes. If you're trying to stretch out your supply then water them down...if your nutrients call for 3 tbs per gallon, do 3 tbs per 2 gallons of water instead. Hope this helps.

Yo Dutch I started flowering after 3 weeks veg and the grow is going great. I'll post some pix soon but, I'm going to give it a shot, I have 4 plants, so we'll see!

if u flower too early.
1. youll stunt vegitative growth by roughly1.3 weeks
2. if you node distance is still too close (by that i mean if the distance between nodes is less than 1-2 inches) flower density will decrease OA yeild unless branches are tied back to allow light penetration.
3. if stalk isnt thick enough bud weight can bend the plant
4. if its WAY too soon. the transition from veg to flower will overtax the growing root system, causing the plant to always be a little sickly.
