    entirely, parallel divides the amperage, series divides the voltage so to drive 4 cob's in series requires 4 x the single cob volts, 4 in parallel 4 x the single cob amps I cover this in my vid; https://youtu.be/ezAfL90Z9UY you can see the size of those vero 29's too!

    Hi Freemanjack. Thanks for getting back to me. I am not great at using new tech and I'm working on a tablet here and can't cut and paste.
    I hope to use:
    Bridgelux v22 array bxre-30e6500-c-73 3000k square x2
    Bridgelux v22 array brxe-40e6500-c-73 4000k square x2
    Meanwell hlg-240h-48a driver
    Arctic Alpine cpu cooler 11plus x4
    All mounted in 40x40cm aluminium angle framework
    To be hung in a 80x80x160cm tent.

    Ok, there's a lot here to cover, tricky here with a 400 character limit on each post. I'll do my best, those vero 22's would be better being vero 29's, no need for cob holders and better spec'd, that driver can only manage 48v so will not drive 52v cobs to full drive current.

    I would stick with that driver choice but go with the 36v vero 29's, the additional voltage will not trouble 29's at rated wattage and with that driver you would be slightly underdriving 29's giving you better thermal output and better lum/w efficiency. As to your choice of heatsink/fan, it may be ideal or if a little undercooled you can always swap the stock fan for a high cfm replacement.

    Nice to know another UK citizen on this forum.
    I have a question for you if you dont mind.
    I am building a lighting rig using 4x bridgelux v22's 3k and 4k, a meanwell hgl 240h 48a and 4x arctic 11 cpu's for coolers.
    Will it be ok to run driver at full blast to give me about 52v and about 1.25a to each cob in parallel?
