find a circuit with nothing else running on it.- no micrwave-washer-tv-heater,ect.... then use this for your light. If it still surges and trips a breaker, im going to have to say theres a problem with the ballast. Most ballasts have either a 110 or 220 sockets. make sure your using the right one.
