RWDC, Do you need air pump in every container?

I typed a much more negative response to this that commented on your maturity level, but I've decided to edit it and rise above. It's obvious now that you don't really know anything about this, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I'm sure there are plenty of things that you know that I don't. I...

RWDC, Do you need air pump in every container?

Why do you have to argue with everyone about this? Have you tried it? You obviously aren't an expert in it because otherwise you would know that it works. http://saltaquarium.about.com/cs/waterquality/a/aa122997air.htm Jesus Christ! Get over yourself.

Thanks Petflora! I had read through your thread previously. Interesting stuff!

Really? Really, really? Yeah, I don't think that's what he was asking.

RWDC, Do you need air pump in every container?

I never said you were wrong, did I? He asked if there was another way, which I provided him with. Then you crapped all over it. Don't come here acting like I'm the one being closed minded. And, you're still not getting it. Fusing with water? Water is oxygen and hydrogen "fused" together...

RWDC, Do you need air pump in every container?

Listen, you don't seem to be getting this, which would explain a lot. Air stones or bubblers don't actually release oxygen into the water. Those bubbles float to the top and burst, which creates surface disruption, which is actually what creates dissolved oxygen in the water. Because of that...

RWDC, Do you need air pump in every container?

Who cares how many times I've posted on this site? Posting on an internet forum does not make you a good grower. Note my join date here. I've been on this forum and many others much longer than you. I don't post my grows and only post when I have a question or suggestion, which with all of the...

RWDC, Do you need air pump in every container?

People are always commenting like they know everything simply because they haven't come across a certain method or whatever else. You definitely can run an RDWC without any added air from pumps whatsoever. The key is a waterfall effect with the return to your rez. This requires elevating your...

    Coco Growers Unite!

Completely understandable. I get that way as well sometimes. I just didn't want this method to be misrepresented. In eight years of growing, this has been by far the easiest, most consistent, and most productive method that I've used. There are a thousand ways to skin a cat (why do we say...

Honestly, I wouldn't do it by hand. That just sounds like a hassle. I set up my drip system in less than 30 minutes and fine tuned it over a couple days. Now, my grow is on auto pilot. All I do is refill my 20 gallon rez's about every six or seven days. I get consistent watering and consistent...

No one is saying that your plants will absolutely yield more with smaller pots. It has a lot more to do with frequent watering. We use smaller pots for two reasons: a) Bigger pots aren't necessary with this method in coco with air pots or smart pots. It saves you a lot of media. b) Bigger pots...

    Coco Growers Unite!

Dude, are you serious? Where is the documentation? Links? 5 liter is 1.2 gallons. If my pots were that small, I'd have to water at least twice a day. I've yet to hear any sort of explanation as to how having to water every day is beneficial. I guess if you want to make sure you have...

I haven't had any problems with Cocotek. I buy the bale, but all I do is put it in a large container and fill it with water. I poked three small holes in the bottom and just let the water slowly leak out over night. The next day, it's ready to go. I don't even PH or anything like that.

    My 600W Vertical

That's what he's doing. The point is to surround the bulb rather than just using one side of it. He could certainly get some more vegetation in there surrounding the bulb, but he's actually doing a great job of using up the space. He definitely couldn't add another row of plants without adding...

Why are you so hostile about it? I've done it the other way too with my 5 liter pots. I've done the every two or three day thing. It works, sure, but when you up the number of waterings, you see serious response from the plants. I'm not talking about water logging my plants every time. I use a...
