Cheap and Cheerful DIY using Citizen cobs

Hey @CobKits i have a question. It's not specifically related to CITI cobs but you're knowledge about cobs so yeah... I'm wondering about PAR measurements dropping with distance, obviously that's expected, and although theoretically it's supposed to follow the inverse square law, i've noticed...

Cheap and Cheerful DIY using Citizen cobs

Try 16 inches, might even be good to try 12 inches. I've worked with 1212's before and they started burning weak leaves @7-8 inches when i ran them @800-900mA Good luck on that harvest, you should make a growlog

    DHP Presents Citizen Cob 1812 3500k 80CRI Vs 1812 3500k 90 CRI

I rather like the new spectrum it's boosted noticeably at the 480 nm range, although it seems "narrower" it looks more full or complete Great post you have here btw! thanks for your work, subbed!

All COB Users - Lettuce Grow Challenge!!

You're making your lettuce flower by giving it so many hours. Lettuce is a long day plant, instead of a short-day flowering plant like Cannabis Holy lettuce, i hope it tastes as good as it looks! How old? Grown How? What strain?

Have you used Oasis cubes yourself? I've seen them but haven't actually found anybody with actual experience. They look like a legit rockwool alternative.

Your veros operate pretty much like CITIS 1818's (50 volt chips @ 1600W), so i'll do the math out of CITI data which is what i have. And if that's the case you're blasting those greens. For instance you would be outputting around 550 PPFD in a 3 by 3 area, which would come out to be ~47 mol DLI...

How are your other crops doing, like the basil and tomatoes, i bet they can take up the higher PPFD values easily? Did only the lettuce die? How did that even happen?

This is my next research subject, sadly i haven't found any freely available papers yet. But i'll keep looking! Far Red seems to useful across the board in most plant production setups. I guess that if nothing can be found it'll be up to us to do the science. Having the Sun as part of your...

So yeah... I've slept a little bit, so let the horses run wild. This is how their lettuce looked: According to them, this is "Boston Bibb Lettuce" (the one in the left and in the back at least). If we trust Cornell's Science (at least i do), they provide this information: Seedlings: (The...

Anyone has any ideas of what the ideal PPFD should be for lettuce? Edit: Found this: http://www.cornellcea.com/resourcesPublications/growersHandbooks/index.html That's the Cornell Lettuce Handbook, they did some badass science on a massive hidroponic facility. I also, found this within that...
