when transplanting any plant there will always be a certain amount of stress on the plant. This is why when transplant the plant will droop. this usually causes people to panic but give it a couple of days and it will come back up.
if the plants go without water for a period of time the roots will grow bigger and downwards in search of water and more roots means a healthier stronger plant.
bat guano ( i think thats how its spelt) makes a good alternitave and will provide your plant with alot of nutrients. you can either get it from the bottom of a bat cave or a garden centre.
