August 14, 2012 Day 87 Flowering Day 17 These babies are showing pistils everywhere! It is so amazing to see the difference each couple of days. The final count is 8 females. There are seven Kali Mist and one White Widow that have made it thus far. I also have two male Kali Mists in a...

August 3, 2012 Day 77 Flowering: Day 7-ish Well, today I yanked my first plant out. Pictures: I was surprised about the root system....way too small from what I would expect it to be. When I pulled the plant, it came out super easy. This plant was always the most sickly looking....tons of...

Thanks Droopy! Yeah, you're right. These seeds are from Serious Seedbank. Everyone raves about how Simon is legit and knows what he's doing when it comes to high quality genetics. So far, out of 9 kali mist seeds from Serious, 5 are ladies! The others are still a few weeks younger. I'm...

July 14, 2012 Day 57 Latest pics taken today: The second pic shows my removable roof made out of shade cloth from Home Depot. I keep it on right now all day. It's pretty hot. I read in Skunk Magazine (volume 7, issue 5: February/March 2012), "The Rev" writes on the "baby carrot" effect...

July 5, 2012 Day 48 I think the nitrogen shock treatment really worked. The plants look so much better with almost no yellow leaves. To diagnose the problem: I bought a soil test kit from The Home Depot (tests PH, Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium. The kit comes with materials for 10...

July 1, 2012 Day 44 I've been dealing with brown splotches and yellowing leaves. It's the old, bottom fan leaves, not the top, new growth. Here are pics from today showing the problem. I've checked PH: 6.5 (maybe a little low, but within decent growing range). I check Nitrogen levels...

Hasbro, I am liking your journal man! Thanks for being very clear and using standard English conventions.....it's frustrating when I'm trying to learn how to grow as well as learn someone's unique sub-standard English conventions. Anyway.....about the shade cloth: I read in Skunk Magazine...

6-24-2012 Day 37 Started LST (Low Stress Training). My goal is to get these Kali Mist sativas to grow as horizontal to ground as possible. I'll train them to grow around the grow hole so when they start to flower and go through what I've heard as a second massive growing spurt, only the colas...

June 22, 2012 Day 35 I did another round of Organocide 3 in 1 Garden Spray yesterday. I still see some evidence of mites, but before, when I would simply break their webs, the next day all the webbing would be back. That's not the case anymore! 90% of the webbing is gone. After doing some...

6-19-2012 Day 32 Spider mites!! I picked up "Organocide 3 in 1" to combat them. It is an organic pest control liquid. I sprayed the "f" out of the plants and surrounding area. Today I still saw a little evidence that the mites are still around. That's not too surprising, so I'll continue...

How much will a windowscreen decrease my light?

IMHO window screen will not affect your plants at all. It seems to me that animals that want in will be able to eat right through the screen. How about small guage chicken wire or the quarter inch grid-wire mesh that is used for making rabbit enclosures? By the way, what are you growing...
