it really depends on where you live and if there is enough summer left... but for the most part unless you live in Alaska or such, you should see some new growth if its healthy enough within a couple months

most of the time leaves that have yellowed will fall off the plant... you can remove them if you like but I like to let nature remove them for me. Yellowed leaves tend to only hang onto the plant with a string and a prayer anyway.

I have found that by taking a pair of binoculars turning them backwards and looking at the plant produces usable results in a pinch, you will need to look at it fairly close but it works. I use a 50x pair and I can see the trichomes fairly well... this is until I can clean my old microscope
