Graphite thermal interface pads instead of thermal paste, anyone else using them?

And you're using them alone, no thermal paste as a backup or for extra heat transfer? I'm gonna be running my chips hella soft at 700mA for the highest possible efficiency so around 22w each. This also allowed me to go with the smallest possible passive heatsinks. I haven't had the chance to...

Graphite thermal interface pads instead of thermal paste, anyone else using them?

I built a pretty rad new DIY LED grow light using 16 CXB3590 passively cooled. I'll be posting pics of the finished product on here soon, but I just want to know if anyone else on here has used the graphite thermal pads instead of the thermal paste? They look like they will be good as an...

Lens and Reflector Optics for COB

I actually am using individual passive pin fin heat sinks for each of my CXB3590 and I'll have plenty of spacing between them. I'm using square aluminum for my frame which should allow for plenty of airflow to get to the heat sinks. I may try using an oscillating fan over the light just for the...

Lens and Reflector Optics for COB

I'm actually going to be using passive heat sinks as well, so I really hope that heat won't be an issue either. Since I'm gonna be running 16 CXB3590s @ 700mA I'm gonna be mounting my drivers outside my tent probably on top and I'll have plenty of exhaust airflow to keep my ambient temperature...

Lens and Reflector Optics for COB

Anybody actually using the lenses for the Ledil Angelinas? If so how are you liking them? Are you able to notice the minimal loss of light?

Lens and Reflector Optics for COB

You're probably right, in a tent you won't really lose any light. The main reason I am utilizing the Ledils besides just for concentrating the light downwards is to have a protective cover over the LES on each LED chip by adding the optional lenses. Pacific Lighting Concepts has the lenses right...

Lens and Reflector Optics for COB

$3.99 at Cutter.com, and if you place a large enough order they might even cut you a sweet deal like they did for me! Free TIM pads for my CXB3590 was pretty cool too! ;)

    12xCXB3590 Passively Cooled

No worries, I actually found a place that is here in the states that has the nylon corners fairly priced. It's crazy how much some places ask for just the corner pieces, I didn't even check them for the price on the actual aluminum since they were charging so much for the corners!! ;)

I miss having a wood stove! I'm a bit jealous bro! lol The closest I can get to this is the crackling fire they have on Netflix for those of us no longer blessed with a wood stove! ;) It just isn't the same.

Wow, that's not bad at all! I'm not finding any decent prices yet on the same tubing you went with, gotta love capitalism! lol You got the hookup on price, I may need to order from the same place as you. Unfortunately I can't read the language on the site, I'll figure it eventually.

    12xCXB3590 Passively Cooled

What a sexy looking DIY grow light you have there! I'm about to build a 16 cob DIY grow light also with CXB3590s and also with similar passive heat sinks. I will be running them off of 2 HLG 185 C700A drivers and I didn't know how I was going to assemble my light until I saw this thread. Thanks...
