    Vivosun DWC kit setup questions

I'm using two Hydrobuckets which make res changes a breeze. With their HydroPod and Plug I can get 4 gal in no problem. I use the Botanicare line of nutes and mix about 1/2 strength with autos. I get best results with an EC between 1.0 to 1.2 when plants really start stretching and into flower...

    Building A Workshop

My first and main concern would be neighbors. As far as a building, where I live a pre-built 10x20 shed delivered and set up runs about $5,500.

    6" inline for 2x4?

I have a 2x4x6 that I use a 6" fan and carbon filter in. Tent is in a 2x8 closet with by-pass doors which remained closed. Fan is vented through the attic to a roof vent. Air intake is through the two 6" vent holes at each end of the bottom of the tent. Apparently more than enough air finds it...

    Alternatives to garbage oscillating fans

Kind of gives you an idea of what their margins are lol. Lately when I upgrade, I've been going with AC Infinity. So far, their overall quality seems better than a lot of others too. After completing that form I quickly received two emails back. Could have been AI generated though I guess.

    Alternatives to garbage oscillating fans

I guess I must of lucked out with mine. I bought my first one 1/14/2023. Went back to my grow records and that fan has been through 4.5 auto-flower grows running and oscillating 24/7. I average about 13 weeks per grow. There are 168 hours in a week, so that's 2,184 per grow. Multiply that by 4.5...

    Alternatives to garbage oscillating fans

Have you tried the AC Infinity Cloudray S6? I was having the same problems until I bought one and have had zero problems for well over a year. I bought two more this year which are now gen2. Added features include adjustment of how wide the oscillation pattern is. A little more than others at...

Soil EC probe or test run off?

Wow, I just checked Amazon! I didn't even notice that because it wasn't the one I was looking for.

Soil EC probe or test run off?

Yes a good meter from Apera or Bluelab are expensive, but I've never regretted buying mine. In fact, I couldn't do without it.

When it comes to mixing nutrients should I go off PPM or manufacturers label?

I use both EC and ppm scale 700. I use ppm to calculate how much nutrient to add when topping off my DWC buckets. The plants I'm growing now prefer an EC between 1.0 to 1.2.

Soil EC probe or test run off?

I grow DWC and have no experience testing soil, I'm wondering if soil can even be tested for EC. I agree with previous poster about staying away from cheap meters. I just ordered a new PH/EC probe for my Apera PC60 and noticed they had various probes for testing PH in soil and flat surfaces but...

    Let's see your auto grows!

My last auto grow of two Blue Dream. Right from Atlas and left from ILGM. Total dry yield of a little over 400gm. Atlas was well behaved with tighter buds. ILGM was pretty rowdy with a little higher yield. Thirteen weeks to harvest for both. . Overall, I was very pleased with both. The ILGM...

Do you have a mammoth mint 8 or HLG scorpion Diablo X? Post here!

That is pretty much what my thoughts were on light penetration as well. I do think I can get some gains in efficiency, coverage, and spectrum quality over the three Mars ts1000 I'm currently using though. But I do like the flexibility that multiple fixtures allow for adjustment.

Do you have a mammoth mint 8 or HLG scorpion Diablo X? Post here!

I totally get the concept. I think one 6" pulling should be more than adequate for my small tent. It will also allow me to eliminate several tight bends that are restricting my exhaust air flow. This will be good project for me in between grows.
