  • how are those clones doing? should be showing some good roots by now. just checking in.
Homemade bubble cloners can work well, it's what I"m using for cloning.

I just got an led in to use for flower, got a friend using several 240w blackstars. Solarstorms are on the extremely expensive side. I wouldn't worry about a veg mode and flower mode. The blackstar flower does just fine for vegging from what I've read in grows. I'm about to harvest out and start some clones into flower under led
Hey hun... apparently I've lost my PM priviledges...but that's fine. The coco I refer to in my "recipe" is compressed bricks of coco coir, found in most grow stores. The size I use for the measurements is the one that is about the same size as a standard masonry "brick".
Yes, there are sum LED's out on the market now, boasting the lumen intensity or, at least the equiv output of 800W HPS, however, the last, latest one I looked at, not only has a veg mode, which is higher in the blue and white spectrum needed, but it also has a flower mode, with more red and yellow, with the flip of a switch, and also UVB spectrum on/off switch, to use during flowering... If I didn't get all my HID's for free, leftover on certain electrical jobs Im on, I'd probably invest in one, and still may... I believe one is called the SolarStorm, made by California Lightworks, that looks badass... and another one is the UFO, which was the less-powerful precursor to the SolarStorm... Id sure be willing to give it a try... But, I prefer, as my plants do also, a full spectrum, meaning I use different amounts of BOTH MH AND HPS for the entire grow, start to finish...
