Does PH DOWN effect Microbial life in between feeds?

Have you tried allowing the well water to sit for a day or two? My well water fluctuates a lot in the first 24hrs if I ph it straight away. I fill a 5 gallon bucket, keep an air stone in it 24/7 and ph it once after allowing it to bubble for 24 hrs. I too was worried about salt build up from...

Does PH DOWN effect Microbial life in between feeds?

Salts from the tea? I guess it depends on what's in it. Experiment a bit, that's all I'm doing. I have seen a slight buildup but I think it's from the hard well water I use and from not changing the res that often. My tea has very little salt. I cycle it like you would soil or an aquaponics...

Does PH DOWN effect Microbial life in between feeds?

For me, it has not. I noticed no decrease when using GH ph down. In fact, my nitrates were still climbing. This is with dwc with nothing but compost tea, no added chems.

    Plant problems! Seedling Week 3

Yea, connected to an air pump. It put's more oxygen into the water which plants need. Think about when you over water a plant and why you should allow it to dry out some. One reason for allowing it to dry out some is to allow the soil to be oxygenated more. Over watering it doesn't allow for as...

    Plant problems! Seedling Week 3

The bucket I use for holding only water for the plants is kept cool and I keep an air stone in it to put as much oxygen in it as possible. I use 50% well water and 50% filter and find it easier to pre mix in a 5 gallon instead of doing it every water. I don't add anything else to the water...

    Plant problems! Seedling Week 3

That's the soil I'm using. I've read a lot of good things about it. I don't know if it's necessary to ph the water first since the soil has a buffer but I do anyway since the water is shared between non buffering mediums. I just keep a 5 gallon bucket bubbling away at ph 6.5 and use it when...
