i think this method may work because riperning bananas release ethylene gas which is used to promote female flowers on male plants. so it might work with seeds but you also might just end up with moldy banana peels and rotten seeds. but worth a try if you have plenty of spare seed.

sorry to say but herms produce herms. i would cut it out before it sheds any pollen. thats the prob with fem seed. to make them they stress the female plant so much that she produces pollen that only carries female chromosomes, but she also inherits the herm trait. yeah it will still produce...
